It's been 20 years since Scatman John left us and went to Scatland. I'll be 100% honest. When I first heard this song, I thought it was another lame pop song, but after hearing his songs and knowing his story of overcoming and turning his disibility into his career. Everytime I listen to any Scatman John song. I feel happy and positive, even it's just for a few short minutes. He might've had a late shot in life and didn't get his big break until he was 53, but he has left a legacy that will live on. Thank you, Scatman. You may be gone, but your legacy will live on forever.

A legend. I listen to songs about drugs and death but for some odd reason this man and his amazing message hit my heart and really changed my view of music in general. The guy SMOKED HIS BRAINS OUT (got lung cancer) and died. I heard the cogs helped his voice,didn’t work out so well. Rest In Peace man!

This is just a rumor. He didn't use anything to help his voice. When he got lung cancer he only went to the studio when he his voice wasn't as ill as in the one recording when he recorded his vocals for Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gV5pMmDQfUc) and it was also a rumor that he got lung cancer because he smoked cigarettes. He only did when was addicted to drugs and alcohol in the 80s because he got depression from his stutter. Fortunately he stopped smoking drugs, cigarettes and drinking alcohol when his friend and saxophone player Joe Farrel died because of drugs.
