this song has become an obsession... I dont know why exactly. Its so sad and nostalgic. Although it relates to a relationship that was reported to have crashed and burned, some blessing has come out of it. It has an ethereal feel to it. A feeling that only the rarest of songs can produce. A combination of the greatest sadness with a coupling of hope that saw a relationship in a light that would ultimately be scorned and mourned.
Oh the feels and tears this one evokes. Mainly a desire to return to a past that has prevented myself from growing. I wish i could meet max and discuss this particular song, even above his entire anthology. If anyone could help me understand what has happened in this song, I would be so happy to understand and reflect even further.

I just feel with any early say anything song, i feel this longing to go to the past and fix my mistakes. then I cry because I realize i can't. He's the only artist who can make me feel this way and i've been in love with it.

Max literally hates this song and pretty much everything before his first studio album. I think he'd move on from the subject or hate you because this is when his bipolar was untreated and he was using some drugs
