Saves The Day - Deciding Lyrics
And it's not fair-why do I have to be so?
Oh I feel everything much more-
much more than you ever will
and it's too hard when I can't even catch your eye
so I can't send you messages
but I don't know if it's time to crack through your walls so thick that I can't see past you
and last summer wasn't enough for me
and now that winter comes the cold beats harder
and no one is left alone and I'm offering you me right now-
take me I'm yours
and I won't have it any other way
so don't let fools be carried by what I say because the night keeps looking our way
and you're not seeing what I'm missing 'cause I am missing you
and I think that we should run as fast as we can into what we don't know-
it's time to let me in because I feel just fine.

I like the Gorilla Biscuits's reference in the beginning.

I FEEL JUST FINE!
i saw a video of the band playing this song (it's around the time of their album sound the alarm) and at the end, Chris didn't sound fine at all, but it makes sense
Im offerin you me right now. Take me im yourrrrs
Im offering you me right now, take me, im yours
those first 2 seconds of this song are enough to give me goosebumps, the remaining 1:55 makes me want to break shit up while screaming the lyrics
i love this song its good to hear them and remember they play this song with all their might!
run as fast as we can into what we don't know!
the acoustic version is so much better
tgi ira ...said no one but you, ever...
Agreed.
this album was kickass.
sounds like Turnpike gates by Lifetime
all melodic hardcore does
+jared _ good point
fightstarfan080 yea their early stuff sounds alot like lifetime
Why did they stop playing like this and jump on the emo bandwagon? This album rules.
This is emo. Saves The Day was emo before emo even became a bandwagon to jump on.
No this was what we called melodic punk or skate punk back in the 90's. Were considered the kid brothers to Lifetime which was in the same genre.
I disagree, back in those days we called stuff like Lagwagon or Ten Foot Pole melodic punk or skate punk; we called this stuff Emo-core when this stuff first came out in 97-98, same thing as Fastbreak's WYR and Lifetime's JBD
melodic hardcore
90's music has nothing to envy the 80's music
@vandyjayb actually, I forgot about "three miles down." two way tie..
I don't think the songs of any lyrics have EVER been more relatable then these.
@beartraps key word was borderline
@serchingfortruth ,It's because your from the newer school. I know you said you like the newer stuff but at least to me it doesn't compare to this not even through being cool, That's why I never got it
This CD is good but forgettable.
@1thess523 well those are just sell outs if they become somthing their not,
@jsh020 , I know what you mean but there are some bands that just turn into a different style all together and kind of makes me think if they were true to that style to begin with. I think bands should get better not change just for the sake of "progressing".
@1thess523 bands need to progress, if they stay the same then they are a terrible band, and the progression needs to be natural witht he writers, its change should happen becouse of change in the writers life, perfect example ofchange is rise again, motion city soundtrack, and if your ok listening to some borderline screamo then senses fail
tey changed and mature over the year while yes all changing their style completly changed for the best
@matthewsomethingteen , some body know's his genre's!!!
they started as melodic hardcore, had a phase of pop punk, then became indie rock
@imjeff3 , I understand what you mean but i've seen way too many bands "progress" (code word for change for the worse) and it's sad, Look at Lifetime , from Hello to the Self Titled it's the same style just better and better. Hey we all have our personal prefrence's so that's cool. As far as "moves with the time's" I can't buy that sorry, I prefer a solid based band instead of one that blows with the wind.
1thess523 someone forgot what they sounded like on Background...yes, even lifetime progressed to a different sound
The thing is, progression is inevitable. I don't think that they are garbage now. They are just not the old poppy style band that they used to be. It all started with "Stay what you are" in 2001. But personally I still love their "under the boards" album. I respect a band that stays fluid and moves with the times instead of writing the same music on multiple CDs. Long live STD.
your right, hey check out Grey Area since you like this I put some up earlier.
@xyTJxy , yeah isn't it sad when bands start out this good and then turn to garbage.
i wish they still sounded like this
