When he sings the "and do you know" on the second part of the chorus I'm getting the shivers from this genius composition. Those guys were so inspired, musically, and this band went too unnoticed for this world. Chris' guitar fills were out-of-space conceptions, not to mention his guitar skills generally, making unique blends with the rest of the instruments and vocals, only compared with the true original composers of our times, at least. Their melodies, harmonies and musical sequences are so touching. I'm so happily sad every time i listen to their songs.

my favorite solo..chris was my favorite guitar player ever, so melodic yet SKILLS. Jon is multi talented. .I'm from tampa & met savatage at a practice they had in mid 90's..brought an acoustic guitar to get signed cause they were by far my favorite band & jon played over the hills and far away (zepplin) right handed as my guitar was strung then flipped it over & upside down & continued without missing a beat. of coarse sang it & blew me away..sooo lucky cause they are the coolest down to earth guys & got to meet them..seen savatage with Chris 3 times & 4 with zack..definitely underrated

τους γνωριζα σαν συγκροτημα απο παλια...απλα δεν ειχα δωσει ιδιαιτερη βαση...τοτε δεκαετια 90..γουσταραμε πιο δυνατα κομματια...μεγαλυτερες ταχυτητες...πηγαιναμε σε αλλα...τα τελευταια χρονια που εδωσα βαση στο τι παιζουν...τι συναισθημα βγαζουν...καταλαβα ποσο ιδιαιτερο συγκροτημα ειναι...μοναδικοι....πολυ καλυτεροι απο πολλες αλλες μπαντες που τραβηξαν τις μαζες των μεταλλαδων...το συναισθημα που βγαζει η χροια του τραγουδιστη δεν υπαρχει πουθενα αλλου...τα ταξιδιαρικα ριφ...δεν μπορω να το βρω αλλου..αγγιγμα ψυχης...και ας εχω φαει το ροδον με το κουταλι και ας εχω δει τις περισσοτερες μπαντες και ας τις ακουω απο μικρος...οσα πραγματα και αν αλλαξουν στις ζωες μας και γυρω μας θα μενουν σε κοντρα των καιρων σταθερη αξια...

Το αγαπημένο συγκρότημα της εφηβείας μου. Τους έχω δει και live κάποιες φορές. Αλλά το κορυφαίο συγκρότημα σε όλο το πεδίο και φάσμα της μουσικής??? χμ...οκ. Ελπίζω να μην έχεις ακούσει αρκετή μουσική στην ζωή σου ακόμη :)

+john kollias Είναι υπέροχο να σχολιάζουν έλληνες τέτοιες τραγουδάρες, διότι, ας μην κρυβόμαστε, τους Savatage δεν τους λες και τόσο γνωστούς πια στην Ελλάδα. Δυστυχώς, οι πιθανότητες να τους δούμε εδώ είναι μάλλον ελάχιστες. Είχα την τύχη να δω τον Jon Oliva (με το σχήμα του Jon Oliva's Pain) λάιβ το 2014 και πραγματικά ήταν σε άσχημη κατάσταση, δεν μπορούσε να κουνηθεί και η φωνή έβγαινε με άπειρη δυσκολία, ήταν μάλλον μια απογοήτευση. Από την άλλη, είδα επίσης το 2014 τον Zak Stevens με τους Circle II Circle, και εντυπωσιάστηκα καθώς αυτός ειλικρινά βαστάει ακόμα, αγέραστος και με φωνή θαυμάσια. Αυτό αναπτερώνει λίγο τις ελπίδες, αλλά και πάλι, δύσκολα.
Ωστόσο, ναι, τέτοια τραγούδια σίγουρα δε θα ξαναβγούν ποτέ.
