About young ones curious about the past of an old man, veteran of some war. Probably WWII as he says: He came back from a war on some forgotten shore. Maybe Normandy and about future wars and hatred around the world that are yet to come.
These guys pretty well covered it. An old man is so traumatized from war that he doesn't speak, and can't answer when kids ask him about the state of the human race. He thinks it's all just hatred and violence.
... This is becoming one of my favorite albums. Everything on this album is fantastic so far with little to no faults at all.
This was essentially a Jon Oliva solo record. Very little input from anyone else, other than having them play & sing what he wrote.
Gerneric? Are you crazy man!? ... This is far from generic - I don't hear any of this kind of stuff with the music that is being pumped out today.

Paul O'Neill was only there from Hall of the Mountain King on out. But Savatage didn't lose anything from listening to Paul. They were ahead of their time and they still have the same sound now through JOP and TSO.
