Paul Williams had a wonderful way with lyrics. He paints a picture with his metaphors that are colorful and beautiful. Who else would think of the connections between people, the world and all of life as a rainbow connection. Too many of us see things in black and white and miss all the colours - the rainbow connection.

apart from the intro, so far this is the best version of the rainbow connection. well, best after kermit's. the others tend to lose its mood somehow due to the different chords or too much improvisation.

I first heard this song in the Muppet Movie, one of my all time favorite movies! and it was just amazing! When you see that sunny sky and that rainbow shining across it, spellbinding!
