I came to listen, and to say the same thing. This song made me fall in love with her voice, her lyrics, her music.

Just off the top of my head - Angel Olsen, Daughter, HANA, Rhye, Night Beds, Frightened Rabbit, Lost In The Trees, The Civil Wars, Purity Ring, Death Cab For Cutie, The Shins, Snow Patrol, Phantogram, Dessa, The Postal Service, Bright Eyes, Okkervil River, Mimicking Birds... etc. etc. Each person/group is unique (thankfully) but their lyrics are every bit as meaningful, and compelling as Sarah's ever were. Just because something is new doesn't mean it's bad. Open your mind, and go explore all of the music made in the past 20 years. Most of it is right here on YouTube.

You hit the nail on the head. Only a true artist like Sarah can do a music video like this with so much class. Robin Thicke can go burn in hell. "Solace" is probably one of the greatest albums of all time; in my opinion, it's even better than "Fumbling Towards Ecstasy." It's a shame that nobody but McLachlan's biggest fans will ever know about it.

i'm an old school Canadian Sarah fan from before Solace, she actually has changed quite a bit, her music is still better then 95% of the artists out there today but it still cant match this or fumbling.

my favorite lp of hers is and will always be "Touch" her first...i hate her big albums like "Surfacing"
