Santana - Well, All Right Lyrics
Well, all right so I'm being foolish
Well, all right let people know
About the dreams and wishes you wish
In the night when the lights are low
We'll live and love with all our might
Well, all right, well all right
Our lifetime love will be all right
Well, all right, so I'm going steady
It's all right when people say
That those foolish kids cant be ready
For the love that comes their way
Well, all right, well all right
Well, all right, well all right
Our lifetime love will be all right
[Repeat last verse]

Santana Well, All Right Comments
This is an awesome cover of blind faiths cover...well allright.
Great memories, we were in the front road when Santana came to the University of Illinois around 1978. Walker was awesome live.
Blind Faith turned Holly's song into something unique. This is just a carbon copy of the Blind Faith version. Lame.
You should be a music critic cuz they're all dumbasses too.
All these years I've thought that this was Ligertwood. I've been schooled today. But Man! These two voices are very similar! Great tone.
That IS Alex Ligertwood on lead vocals on "Well All right". Hes in the live video. I was guilty of following the masses on the comment section when my instincts said otherwise.
Now I've got to listen to Greg Walker and those songs he headed up to understand his input.
Greg Rollie sang lead on the early albums.
But definitely the big Scottish dude with the sonic range and the funky grill is doing lead vocals on "Well All Right". I may be the only one concerned about all this!
@Scott Gifford I see,I didn't know the names of either and thought this, open invitation and she's not there were all the same guy, back then I got my music of the radio mostly and didn't know a lot of band info.I did however know about Greg and Neil due to journey.
@Tim Hoover By going to wikipedia I learned that over the years Santana has brought in more than 50 players to contribute to his albums. That sounds like a corporation rather then just a band. Nothing wrong with that though!
My favorite band RUSH has had only one change in over 40 years.
(Drummer). Yet kept the total number of members to 3 guys.
And people still criticize the music for changing over the years. (But not from myself!)
@Scott Gifford one of my favorite bands has been the same 3 guys for over 50 years, ZZ TOP. Had tickets to see them back in August but frank got pneumonia and they had to cancel.
@Tim Hoover Right! ? And these guys dont just bring in a hired gun to "sit-in"!
Late to the game, but just heard this the other day on my local independent radio station. It took me awhile to recognize it and thought about Buddy Holly. I like Buddy Holly’s version of course and this one too. I miss the era when real musicians played and bands could really offer new interpretations and due justice to remakes. This one is outstanding.
Well alright, we got ya covered ;^)

This I guess is a cover of the blind faith version of well alright? Which was a cover of the Buddy Holly song well alright? I'm sure I got something wrong along the way, cover me.
Funny album cover. "No Mexicans in this group!"
That cat can sing
I just heard this for the first time last week. What a great version of the Buddy Holly song. Great music by Santana and his band. There's so much great music to be heard and re-discovered from the past.
Big Ups to Buddy Holly! RIP
Thanks God I don't find any JoJo reference here..
Who is jojo. Just curious.
@Melissa Tyree Jojo is an awesome buff man. And there are more than just one Jojo throughout ages.
Solid tune, didn't know it was Buddy Holly until years later. Though this period through the late 80's is considered his most straight-on commercial & don't really showcase his virtuosity, I feel that Santana still puts his unique stamp on these pieces!
Santana covering Blind Faith reinterpreting Buddy Holly. Don't get me wrong, I like this cover...but that's what it is...it's a cover of a cover.
That fuckin hook tho
hi from 1978 I love it the best thank you wow what a song this is a great cd
As a Buddy Holly fan, I admire how Carlos Santana turned this into his own.

BAJA MALI KNINDZA BULEVAROM REVOLUCEE
they kicked this tunes ass jack. ... Love all the renditions
ive seen santana twice at festival hall in Melbourne Australia......carlos makes the sweetest guitar sound....true genius
Lo mejor de lo mejor."arriba Mexico"
Not even an attempt at trying to be original. Santana just re-played Blind Faith's rendition of this Buddy Holly tune. RIP Buddy Holly.
Maybe... maybe not... Here's Blind Faith's version - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FWbZf8nmuxw That's! sugary! - This has an edge with the vocals, the guitars and the percussion that makes it much much more "rocky"... cooler!....
I wasn't a fan of cover music for popular musicians and bands to have to resort to copying- but Santana has done well in re-creating a twist on very popular songs without ruining the original bands release.
I'm sorry 1978 or 1979
Hi love this song one of the best in 1978
Beautiful song

Interesting...this is a cover of a cover. I like all three Buddy Holly, Blind Faith, and Santana.
hyva carios
Track -Well Allright
Original Version : Buddy Holly.
Doesn't beat Blind Faith's version, but I do like them drums.
Oh but it does! :) Because of the drums, the more upbeat tone that eelectric guitar and the higher pitch vocals! :)
Who actually sang this song?
one of my personal all time fave covers. This and Spiderbaits Blackbetty. If you haven't caught that one...check it out. Well worth it.
Totally brother.. I agree!
Wow. saw Pete received yesterday in Cali,
Lol. I'm going watch Youtube destroy itself. People want to join current conversations, not old ones. Who really cares about the top comment? They should've never changed their format.
I heard this on HD Radio, in the car, today & the display showed the artist as 'Santana'. But, I KNEW I'd heard it by another band. I just KNEW it was Stevie Winwood's voice.
I was thinking, "either Traffic or Blind Faith". It turned out to be a Blind Faith cover of an old Buddy Holly tune, covered AGAIN by the Santana band, at that time!
Greg Walker's vocals sounded SO much like Winwood & the recording quality was SO GOOD, that I thought that Stevie had done one of Carlos' famous, recent, SO COOL collaborations!
Of course, Carlos' guitar work was, as ALWAYS, AWESOME!!!
I HAD to look it up. SO glad I did!!!
i am a big fan from santana
i love hearing this version from Santana .
Had this on 8 track and played until it broke, taped it up and played it more!
best well all right out there, buddy holley would be proud
Blind Faith feldolgozás!

Steve Winwood too.

One of my favourite song of Carlos Santana
srtyxczewlsrolkid It's a Buddy Holly tune. Santana is covering Blind Faith's version.
total ear candy
Better than the original.
I would not go that far , I do love this song though :)
Mmmmm...very good, but not that tasty
wonderful song nice memories 😍❤👍
viva espanya, this dude can sing and play the guitar par excellence.
Irvin Perumal The spectacular arrangement and lead guitar are by Carlos; the exquisite lead vocals are by Greg Walker. (He's the tallest dude on that album cover pic).
Man this dude can sing!!!!!
Great buddy holly classic - I remember this as a 'b' side from one of the old records my mum had of Buddy Holly - I think the A side was 'take it easy'. Only Santana could do this great record justice!
You should check out Blind Faith's version, if you haven't already.
carlos santana crecí con su musica, musica pensada para gente pensante rock latino .y vuelve el bajo carajo
great buddy holly song - credit to Santana - brilliant. I play this all the time in my car.
Saw them do this song in San Francisco in the 70's
just listen to the guitar on this. absolutely nasty gnarly. and the thickness of the band is incredible. and everyone singing. this just flat out out smokes
I love this song!
Che bella musica! Bring back the 70's por favour!George Cosentino, Perth West Australia. 22/6/16

By Buddy Holly
Hard to believe that thai was a Buddy Holly song; so unlike anything else he wrote.
Buddy really was an extraordinarily talented musician. Yes, some of his tracks were derivative of his earlier work... but he also was an unparalleled innovator.
Santana for ever
Well allright then.. (Regards, Santana)

Great interpretation by Carlos Santana of the Buddy Holly classic
Excellent version!
Lots of musicians do covers but Carlos Santana takes whatever he touches to a whole different level.......
Down a level, or two, from the original, you mean?
Lorraine Ashby so does Manfred Mann
lorraine what i can said on those day every song touches became gold to me as santana fan
funny how everybody likes to redo Buddy Holly songs
My dad use to play this alot in his car I was learning how to read and write at that time. I never realized it was Carlos, but now, when i see that album cover, bells gonna ring : )
Love this so much, as Santana in general! :)
@PlanetBerlin1991 I was thinking the same bro..
I caught this album in late '79 when I was a senior in high school. I had so many Santana albums that I brought to school for creative writing class that everyone started to call me Carlos which I used as my pet name for our yearbook at Crosby High,(class of 1980). The man is still performing which tells me that he's still doing what makes him happy. Go Carlos.
Jim Mascia what the name of this album
Jim Mascia crosy MN?
this is good music, like the crap we have now, dubstep... it sounds like spoons and forks doing it. im only 19 and i this is the only kind of music i dig.
I 'dig' what you say but please, please leave your age out of it as it doesn't factor.
I dont know why young 'uns always have to state their age like they expect a prize for listening to great music at their age?
The music IS the prize. So treasure it.
*******
Wishing you many more years of amazing music moments & discoveries.
Just please leave age out of it. It bugs almost everyone to read it.
Especially us 'aul wans' ; )
@stella maris
And before anyone asks me do I realise how often I repeat the above post
- The answer is No.
Repeating oneself & not remembering is a perk that increases with age.
@stella maris Oi, I thought we weren't to mention age! lol
@Duneenzo That just was me who was going on about age but I'm not always aware what I say as me & I dont communicate very often.
thank god for you.... the younger generation to keep this alive...Senyorcaca; keep digging, there is so so much; im old and I still dance my ass off to this.... but this is just the tip of the proverbial iceberg. for me, this was a life changing record, oh and ...age does not matter.
Lo escuche por 1º vez en el año 1.979....y me voló la cabeza..!!!!
What a super track! By Santana or Blind Faith . . . . . I have always admired the straight go for it guitar work and vocals on this track. I play it often on my radio show. It's areal pick-me-up after a slow romantic love ballad, segue-way from a commercial break- or after a weather report. Hear it on my Here's Ricky Radio Show on WLR FM.
sigh. now must go listen to Dealer
and everyone sings, and percussionists are jamming, and Carlos is just shredding. a lot of people didn't like this record. they are not wise, this record top to bottom jams, and thank you guys helping me to keep this alive. holy shit 30 plus years now. wow dang im old I dont care. I will never let this go...I will always jam this until the day im dead
500 watts tends to make me dance
I cant articulate how much I love this song. how jamming it is. aaaggghhh so so soul stealing bad ass
I woke up this morning with this song in my head. Been listening to it all day, I wish I had someone to dance with. Sigh...
