Correction, one site had it right and ...what can I say... as a musician and a producer, I really don't like when vocalists don't annunciate well. That said, Alex Ligertwood is one of my fav vocalists and here are what appear to be and sound like the correct lyrics:

-Santana/Alex Ligertwood from me listening to the original audio. All the lyrics for this song online are completely incorrect on all sites searched for whatever bizarre reason.

OMFG, EVERY Lyric site has the wrong lyrics to this song posted. I stopped looking after 15 sites had the same wrong lyrics (Like different song wrong) and I'm writing them down from this video's audio. I'm thinking maybe they were mis-printed on the album or CD liner. I owned the Album back in the 80's and I remember it had the lyrics....does anyone have a copy they can check as mine is long gone. Next comment will be the correct lyrics for this awesome song!

Mario, this is a far MORE IMPORTANT song than Carlos' (God gifted Genius of course) use the "talk box" effect.  Listen to the lyrics and JUST DO IT!  Thanks for the insightful question though Compadre'..... curious coinkydinky ain't it?  Fight the Power (Isley Brothers) of the "invisible empire" of crime before they kill the species and life on this UNIQUE planet in the relatively near future as predicted by our best.
A Dios - Vaya con Dios, go with/in God, ya are anyway and it's the ONLY practical, functional and sustainable way to go...
