Santana - Little Wing Lyrics
Well, she's walking through the clouds
With a circus mind,
That's running wild.
Butterflies and zebras and moonbeams
And fairytales,
That's all she ever thinks about ...
Riding with the wind.
When I'm sad, she comes to me
With a thousand smiles
She gives to me free.
It's alright, she says,
It's alright;
Anything.
Fly on, little wing.

Santana is souless
Opinions are like a holes everyones got one . your allowed i guess
Carlos si es chingon. Muchos dicen q no tiene mucha tecnica pero toca un sentimiento q te entra al corazon. Muvhos tocan muy rapido y hacen donidos distorsionados.
Sorry. In from the storm
Is the album
I found it guys. Check the album.
Into the storm
Is a tribute
to Jimmy Handrix
This song was recorded by this two guys . but was in 1997 on a tribute album for Jimmy Hendrix by difrents artist santana,Joe cocker, sting and many more. Does anyone knows the title of the cd or album?
Bom de mais!!!!
Voz Joe Cocker, guitarra Santana. Maravilhoso. Musica para sonhar.
Versão deste nível é coisa rara.
Такая охрененная песня и так мало просмотров 😕
Она ведь шикарна!
Просмотры - не есть мерило всего.
Takes me back to the days of yesterday. saw santana, Joe, hendrix one of a few that totally sent.me to the back of the beyond, did not want to come back. Thanks for the memories.
that guitar is obnoxiously loud in the mix, i'm sorry santana i just like to hear the bass and kick drum too
For those who said "Where's the intro?", you should listen to the version of Derek and the Dominos. You'll understand :)
Cocker you never dead to day sing in the sky man enjoy the angels
Fly on fly on baby
Cocker RIP best
That song
That voice
That guitar..............
jimi hendrix is much better. try out his song
@R'nedde Dudeböck yes ofc, but Santana really did this song almost as good as the king himself.
And it's much longer. Hendrix (studio) version wasn't even complete. It ends just when the song raises a level and becomes even more awesome, very sad cuz "little wing" have been one of my all time favorite song.
<3<3<3
@Nacki true dat! i didn't know that but this makes sense. i always wondered how short this song is. thanks for the information. i really love little wing aswell!! ♥️
Santana made in México from de world the best guitar
simply magical and beautiful the association of 2 monuments of music
Three, if you think about it.
Stunning combination here of Joe Cocker's vocals, and Carlos Santana's emotional Guitar, and then Joe Cocker somehow raisies his Vocals to a new high, and growls into a new dimesion, and Carlos follows on with even more emotion flying out of his Guitar.....WOW......
oh my god! such an amazing version!
Two Woodstock alumni paying tribute to another! R.I.P JOE AND JIMI!
joel maqueira
Santana performed at Woodstock too!
I know. I'm saying all three are alumni.
This song was recorded on a cd in 1997 cd on Jimi Hendix memory

This song was recorded back in 1997, on a tribute album to the Legend our Jimmi Hendrix
stevie ray set my nuts on fire when he did this live in 1983!
Only Carlos can do close to what Jimi imagined............maybe DiMeola.........
Devadip!!!
so many attempt this Carlos reaches into the spiritual sweetness as it is intended It is one thing to be able to riff on the theme some try to shred it, the Vocals are the tough part few can interpret
I love Jimi and Joe
Brasil Rio de Janeiro. Sensacional da alma em orgasmo espiritual. Som.
This in no way even remotely resembles the original song...fail! period!
+jonnydupe07 Your first post is completely wrong because I identified at least 5 similarities after you stated the two don't sound remotely similar. Also, a good cover is almost never defined by how close it sounds to the original.
And I'm waiting for you to tell me any difference in the chord progressions in the original and this cover.
Ok, that may be, but this sounds more like the original "Little Wing" than 99.9999% of all other songs ever recorded, so your original comment still seems completely misguided, and an unproductive contribution to the conversation about this cover. Resemblance and quality are two completely different things.
In fact, that's why I used SRV's cover as an example: it sounds much less like the original, yet it is a far superior cover. So, SRV's resembles the original less than this, yet it's not a complete fail.
+jonnydupe07 Yeah, I can agree with that. I think he COULD theoretically, but he didn't, and that's all that matters at the end of the day.
+jonnydupe07 Right... I'm agreeing with you. He didn't do it justice, at the end of both our days. Am I missing something?
I think Jimi would have appreciated this cover. Jimi was doing "cover" versions of popular music, sometimes just days after after they were released... and doing them his way (Sgt Peppers Lonely Heats Club Band, All Along The Watchtower).
Little Wing is one of my all time favorite songs. It's been covered many times... this one isn't bad (JMO thou)
This recording is profound. Ask anyone, under 30, who Carlos or Joe are.....Blank stare,,,,,How unfortunate......
gunsnroses4716 you're listening to his weird solo stuff. he was the guitar player for the red hot chili peppers for most of the bands records. under the bridge, don't forget me, californication, soul to squeeze, are all some of my favorite chili peppers songs. listen to those, they're even better live as long as you're listening to live performances he is actually in. he left the band between like 92-98 and then started doing his weird solo stuff after like 2009ish.
gunsnroses4716 it's cool...you were just confused. glad you know now and started listening to their music.
Ryan Winkelman thanks man, I've liked RHCP for a bit now, just never knew their "main" (former) guitarist.
RHCP are actually playin here in Tampa in 3 weeks, so I'm going to try and scoop up tickets for that.
Take it easy man.
Cool... I have a RHCP tattoo on my arm lol
steve little with all do respect sir you're mistaken, I'm 27 now, English is not my mother tongue, and I've been listening to him since I was 20.
amazing, best song from an amazing cd. nobody liked caravanserai when it came out , now its cosiderd one of his best ! when I first heard guitar I thought, how can he top this ? its gonna be a long time. mabey Santana IV? but lets see.
I dig the guitar, but Skid Row's cover of this was epic. Sebastian Bach's voice on it was awesome.
here's a cover of little wing by a Japanese middle school student(:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KJrhbvMLIEY
This is probably one of the best Hendrix's cover ever !
RIP Joe and thanks so much for the good music you gave me for nearly 50y.
But please guys also listen to Nek's version:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EfSALKMMx5Q cause I believe he's got a good voice too .
Hi fellow countryman :D thanks for the link!
Nek is underrated, sadly due to the Italian music scene being what it is. He's a good bass player and has a nice voice but like Alex Britti they are more known for the pop stuff.
Cocker's voice from 3:58 to 4:01, incredible, can't be duplicated, can only come from Joe Cocker in the heat of the moment, moved by a song. You almost can't even hear him saying 'fly'.
sorry to tell you that "little wing" has been composed by Jimmy Hendrix
Thanks for sharing! Here is my two cents. If you'd like a really fast (approx. 10 sec/song) free music download source with huge database, I strongly recommend to try TopInWeb . com

Santana - Little Wing (Joe Cocker)

@BMW Stav Конечно, Сантана большой мастер, кто спорит...
Arkady Yablokov come kk!
RIP dear man with that great voice-- we love you and will listen and remeber
we'll get out-dated, he won't nor Santana, nor Jimi.
En paz descanse el gran Joe Cocker!!!
Lindo demais!!
Fare Thee Well Joe --- Be Among The Mad Dog's and Englishmen Who Have Gone Before You
OH....2 greats from my old Woodstock album...playing Woodstock Jimi Hendrix song....Very Woodstock and Very Good, this version....
I would say 3 because joe was at wood stock too
R.I.P Joe Cocker
If you like this, check out my daughter at 13 years on You Tube . 'Littlewing Annie Needham'
Carlos is a true musician, amazing!!!
Hendrix version was the best
+Ravi Perera still SRV made it better )
Ravi Perera pappo version is one of the best for me, u know it?
Excellent, rare, and so down right appealing...
Santana with Joe Cocker at vocals...
Joe Cocker's voice, incredible Santana guitar work, on a Hendrix track, it just doesn't get much better on a Canadian Thanksgiving weekend. Happy Thanksgiving world, I certainly have enough to be thankful for, but just livings enough.
Anything
With a thousand smiles.... So awesome
the song is so good it can take even this cover, a simple ersatz of sting's. Not gonna say it is crappy, because Santana has a nice stile and Cocker can put some feeling into anything, but it is not hendrix's
Best Little Wing cover.
@Zenya better than the original by far, and im a Hendrix fan
Terry Fisher brught me here!

Someone said Pappas version kicks Santana Ass!! No way Pappa couldnt get his cheap guitar in tune and what a cheap live recording!! Sorry Jimi is still the man i do love this version and Stevies version however!! I was disappointed when someone stated about Pappa! I sure was hoping they were correct but no!!!
Where's the intro? o.o
Just about to say the same thing... I'm all about doing it in one's one style but.... gotta have the essential parts of the song!
fantastic duet!!! Carlos + Joe EPIC.
carlos just may have drank from the fountain of everlasting life...
me too!
I saw the film WOODSTOCK'69 and Santana was AMAZING and that lengthy drum solo was EPIC!
actually more of Michael showed up :-(
yeah I can't wait to see Carlos wouldn't be a surprise if Joe showed up :-)
Joe Santana and Carlos Cocker - what a mixture one into the other !!!
Gorgeous version of the song. Joe has so much soul, and that guitar ........
Awesome version, love Joe as well.
Powerful song :)
Amazing
Someone ask Carlos to do "shine on you crazy diamond"
это музыка с нежданчика на рыбалке
Played this at my dads funereal. Great man, great music.
kick ass!!
I love this cover
carlos take on a great track and and carlos nails it carlos is the best at what he does
This ´Little Wing´ becomes realy big mixed up by Carlos Cocker and Joe Santana !!!
The key phrase here people is that it's a "VERSION" .... Carlos and Joe giving it their respective flavors while still true to the basic original...
Love it for what it is.... as I do
Thanks!
I love that song !!
@Echnaton1954 Thanks!
@bojisti Well, my friend. I´ve got the cd at home and it´s written - Drums: Dennis Chambers, Percussion: Karl Perazzo, Congas: Raul Rekow. Hope I could help you a bit.
Not bad, who is the drummer? In my opinion Stevie Ray Vaughan's version remains the best and closest to the feel of Jimi's guitar.
I was specting more from his version of this song, Pappo's version (pequeña ala) kicks his ass to the moon...that being a Santana fan
@originalchowdahead Yes!, Youtube change my video T.T, thank's for tell me!, see you!.
That song is called "Little Wing" sung by Joe Cocker not "Under The Bridge".
