Santana - I Ain't Superstitious Lyrics
Well, I ain't superstitious, black cat just cross my trail
Well, I ain't superstitious, oh the black cat just cross my trail
Don't sweep me with no broom, I might get put in jail
When my right hand itches, I gets money for sure
But, when my left eye jumps, somebody's got to go
Well, I ain't superstitious, black cat just cross my trail
Well, I ain't superstitious, black cat just cross my trail
Don't sweep me with no broom, I just might get put in jail
Well, the dogs are howling, all over the neighborhood
Whoa, the dogs are howling, all over the neighborhood
That is true sign of death, baby, that ain't no good
Well, I'm not superstitious, a black cat across my trail
Don't sweep me with no broom, I just might get put in jail
That's bad luck for me

The same Wolf Beck Stewart vibe... Great
From the Schwarzenegger movie the last stand.
Hes my uncle
Just watched the last stand and this song is fire
looked this song up saw santana covered it i love santana but i'm not feeling it Jonny doesn't do it for me i prefer Jeff Beck and Rod Stewart
Your a beast for uploading this song
Awesome! Jonny Lang's vocals are just SO bluesy!
Tremendo! hermosa como suena la guitarra
I heard the original way before the last stand, in Casino with de niro watching over a cheater I think
Actually, the original is from Howlin' Wolf, the one from the movie Casino is just another cover
@Luna Paola Black Yes. However the one from Casino is Jeff Beck's cover, which is probably the most famous version of this song.
@Luna Paola Black The original is actually from Willie Dixon (he wrote it and a little later did a version with Howling Wolf) ...
Did Joe Pesci poke anyone in the eye with a pen?
These guys miss the point... Listen to Jeff and Rod on 'Truth', where there's a funky Micky Waller and Ronnie Wood groove, where Mr. Beck is cheeky with his wah-wah and Mr. Stewart is 60s Rod. There's a reason why the one from '68 is a classic and Carlos 'n' Jonny's is a passable blues shuffle with too much guitar wanking and a total absence of humour. It's called taste. Jeff and Rod had it. Carlos 'n' Jonny didn't. Of course that is just my opinion, so there's no need for any 'WTF' responses, 'cause there's no swaying my thoughts on this one.
Nothing wrong w a new version . The Jb version has as much wanking or more.
You're overthinking it Wayne. If you listen to Jeff Beck play it live, his tone is weak and dull on a lot of the licks due to picking with his fingers. Just listened to Beck doing this song with Rod Stewart on another video a few minutes ago. Weak tone! Basically - just a matter of preference.
Wayne: just your opinion indeed and I do not agree with it. In my opinion you "don't get the point"
I agree, the backup band misses the "groove". Carlos and Jonny play some decent guitar licks, but none match the original Truth recording. What is worse, is that Beck's style has changed so much over the years, that I find his playing annoying, instead of being awesome like I used to.
I hear this song for The first time with MegadetH
Love Santana! But OMG... Jonny were did this strong, passionate voice and great guitar playing come from as such a young age for you? So glad Santana & Lang hooked-up on this song... it's Great!
Johnny Lang born in North Dakota of all places for Jazz. Very gifted artist.
Yeah, I'm a blues fan and I'm embarrassed to say that I heard this song for the first time in The Last Stand movie. Turns out it's a classic. Not sure who Slash is, but Howlin' Wolf did it, and Rod Stewart did too about 50 years ago.
This whole album should be called Slash, by Santana. That's all he does.
yeah and only what 20 sek got to hear it in full, nice movie too
Wow, what a Jam!
I have the CD,but yeah the movie brought me here to listen to it after I just seeing it..GREAT song & GREAT movie which I'll be buying the DVD as well :)
Thumbs up if you only found this song because of the movie "The last Stand"
I admit it..... :shamefaced:
