Nice all the way, Carlos takes a song and puts the right spice on it. Awesome!

My problem with this cover is that the arrangement totally misses the point of what John Fogerty was trying to convey. It sounded too cheesy in my ears, unlike the raw passion of the CCR original.

I'm pretty sure Love, Devotion, Surrender was the last cool thing Carlos Santana did, back in 1973.

73 was prime santana, not a better year in fact, bet plenty of cool records after that Festival, Moonflower, Blues For Salvador, and Milagro all pretty cool, this is just utter garbage, oh yes and Spirits Dancing in The Flesh another good one, this is guitar heaven crap is liked by mostly teens and twenty somethings

No confusion here at all. The 6 months that have ensued since my previous post have ony served to enhance my opinion that this one of the worst, ill conceived albums ever made. It is truly atrocious.

I am a Carlos admirer of over 40 years, but if he has run out of ideas as well as the fire and passion he once had, then I see no point in him recording any more.

Its been a stream records of the same repetitive 'Carlos' fills over boring duets.

Then this dross ..

i am a hughe Carlos-fan and i do not like it. The Original is the only one, it it simpel, straightforward. Carlos is the best but this just don`t fit

don't get me wrong santana is an awesome guitar player and i love his early songs but this is not good

Stapp is buried in the mix during a lot of this version, It's all pretty muddy. And I completely disagree that it's better than CCR. The original is one of those songs I've never gotten tired of hearing after 40 years and there are a LOT that I'll change the channel on.
