Sandy Denny - Crazy Lady Blues Lyrics
Missed the morning too, didn't rise before noon
She's a lazy lady today
Always yawning, you with your eyes on the moon
You're a crazy lady I'd say, da da da
And you're no hazy maiden in grey
How can I be sure, it's not easy to tell
But you're a crazy lady, I'd say
Crazy lady

Just... Wow!
Absolutely fantastic!!!!
A beautiful voice but so individual and characterful as well. A voice of my youth, a good memory.
2 minutes of sheer bliss......
she was an angel ,great guitar player ,too!
Listen to Battle of Evermore
What a great artist
Love it!
This song is about Linda Thompson.
Love it...
Damn she knows them open chords.
I was really impressed by her beautiful voice, nice drop D guitar sound.
I so wish i could have met her, love her😢
Better than Joni Mitchell
Joni Mitchell would only have been good enough to carry Sandy's guitar.
A Sublime Voice.Just Stunning.
man, someone NEEDS to do a nirvana style cover of this
don't be daft !🐂💨💨
Crazy beautiful lady...
Pretty English rose does a pretty song.
Unicaaaaa!!!
magic guitar tune and perfect voice,so great!
The Joni Mitchell of England...Too bad she died at a young age...I watch this video all the time and watch her play that guitar so so well...Chords chords chords flyin.....

+huskvarsm Gibson J-50 i believe. The super thin bracing gives it a signature booming sound.
Time stops for no man or woman , her music will live on when our generation has gone .
One of the sweetest voice I've ever heard.
Her and Judith from The Seekers!
sweet..
That Gibson J50 looks HUGE on her...
anyone figured out the chords to thisone? I tried and failed miserably...
+Roberto Gamio Puente In Drop D tuning: *D mj* ( with some hammer-on's to lighten the melody ) *A mj* , *G* ( barred on the top 3 strings at the 5th fret ) back to *D mj* , *A mj*, *G barre* then, to a two note chord in *F* ( 3rd fret- E string & 3rd fret- G string... you can also hit the D string, but leave the rest alone ) back to *G* & so- on.
+Roberto Gamio Puente Start by tuning the guitar one whole tone down then the rest should follow.
Could be an open tuning, like DADGAD, that's a Celtic favorite.
Thanks for this rare video. I love Sandy Denny
She's a seriously underrated guitar player as well as a singer.
+51MontyPython Good point. I don't play guitar myself, but Sandy's guitar playing was very unique. I don't think she gets enough credit for that. Not only was she a great singer and writer, but a great musician as well.
She was also a piano player and a songwriter.
+Helen Trope i hope, she will talk to us as a prophet (Sandy Denny - For Nobody To Hear)
she sang about Jesus (19 Rupert Street) and God (Sandy Denny - One Way Donkey Ride, at least a Fotheringay version of Late November has the verse : God help you all, the insane and wise)
found a lovely video: Farther On performed by Alaska String Band
um anjo
beautifull song!
miss you so much Sandy......always in my thoughts you crazy lady.
A Poem For Sandy:
She had a taste for the elixir of death,
and twixt and tween it took her breath.
Sprawled out stone cold she lay,
as cold as a frozen Featheringay.
Alas! Alack! the assembled crowd cried,
Seems poor Sandy's brain's been fried.
She had a taste for real strong drink--
killed her dead...or so methinks.
Thank you Tom
that's really good Tom :) sadly if her mother had called an ambulance the first time she fell down stairs she may have lived;this is the original injury that contributed to the headaches she suffered afterward,no doubt a slow brain bleed..so when she fell a second time, too much damage had been done.Tragic indeed.R.I.P Sandy.
Tom Robinson i
you may, watch, comment, subscribe, share,
can't keep a good man down, got you on my needs...
A beautiful voice very much missed
Outstanding!!!!!!
It's been too long...
What a beautiful song from my Sandy Denny xx R.I.P . Martin xx
This is beautiful. It reminds me of something off of Joni Mitchell's Clouds album.
I love both Sandy & Joni but I’d
Agree the similarities are apparent
From that era.
Ppl of the world please watch my videos I would be really grateful .
The ONLY female to record with Led Zeppelin in the studio....
The best all-round musical individual to appear on a Led Zeppelin record IMO.
Love folk music.
best two minutes on this lit up contraption thingy, thanky
Knobhead
i remember as a young teen being sick of "finger in the ear" boring folk singers. then came the likes of jansch and renbourn &, of course, fairport and later on eliza carthy. so now my horizons are broader.
Hardly classy! :(
Nice. Great voice. Classy lady.
I agree. That's why I love Gold Dust: Live at the Royalty. Her voice comes from the gut.
effortless
Gibson Hummibgbird?
Big girls happen out here.Watch out.
Just beautiful!
She makes me smile she moves me
My favorite female singer and songstress of them all. Noone could top Sandy. Beautiful singing voice that just soared. She will be terribly missed..You sing with the angels now Sandy Denny! Thank you for enriching our lives and bringing us so much joy through your music. Her legacy will outlive us all.
Awesome
Words fall short when describing this artist :)
Incomparable Sandy. None better.
Love the little curtsey Sandy Denny does at the end of this song. A genius, she also comes across as a character. Wish I'd known her. Wish I could buy her a drink. Agree with 'dubmill' below - this & the version of "The North Star Grassman and the Ravens" from the TV show are so superior to what I've heard on CD. The cut-back & bare arrangements beat hands down the fussy versions on CD. What TV show did these songs come from - BBC? Love the graphics introducing them. More please! Diolch Sandy x
These days any record company stooge seems to receive the appelation 'musician', although most of them can't even sing, let alone play an instrument. Sandy Denny WAS a musician, and a damned fine one, too.
I love her singin & guitar playing. What a voice!
lordy,,as good as it gets
Excellent!!!!!!!!
Beautiful Lady...Beautiful Song...
....just fantastic.......
