Woibo Bowen Certainly. I think this should have been a single. I don't know why he chose not to release it(if it's the artists choice?). All the ones that were singles were great but they should've released this one along with all the others.

My mom got this album on cassette for me literally after I had heard Cadillac Style for the first time. I told her,"mama,I just like that song,"Cadillac Style",and that man that sings it(I didn't hear his name by that point lol),has a neat voice." She told me "That's Sammy Kershaw. He does sound pretty unique,don't he." This was around October 1991,me just 9 years old. That very same day we go to Walmart and stroll on into the electronic department and we go to look at the tapes and I said to my mom "I want to see if they have a tape of this Sammy Kershaw that sings the Cadillac Style song." And literally at first glance I see the name in black letters with the album title below it in smaller font gold letters "Don't Go Near The Water." I excitedly take it out and read the song titles and see that my favorite song(naturally as it was his first and only out at the time)is indeed on that album and mama just smiled and said,"let's go buy this." That day I was introduced to 3 other songs that would become later hits,one in particular I became fond of was the title track which would be released and played on radio following "Cadillac" a few months later. Then there was "Yard Sale" and "Anywhere But Here." So that is how I became a Sammy Kershaw fan,lol.

I love Sammy kershaw too and i even have this album in my top 20 country albums of the 90's review... With that being said i don't think he's quite at a hall of fame level.
