I'm pretty sure this is for Christina, she was a great friend to him, and now shes gone, all he has is the song just a dream cover with him with her, and that was the perfect song to what happens to her, everyone just tell her that she was a great friend, she dident deserve to leave this world, and that we love her, everyone is not always perfect

This song was written before the death of Christina Grimmie.

The first time I heard this song, it was at a live performance in Portland, Oregon. Sam was opening for Alex Goot. As much as I loved seeing Alex on stage, I definitely think Sam's energy stole the show. Back to this song, though, the day I heard it, I had also found out that my grandmother had passed away. I remember tearing up when I heard him sing it, and I think it was that which cemented my decision to buy his album after the show.

Today is the six month anniversary of my father's death, and this song reminds me of him now as well. I think daddy would have loved Sam's music. RIP Daddy, I miss you.

Since this will be lost in a sea of comments, let me tell you a story.
Late at night, a girl was sleeping on the couch with earbuds in listening to YouTube. An ad comes on and wakes the girl. She hears an amazing voice and an equally amazing song. She looked at the title and the artist and committed it to memory. When she woke up, amazingly, she remembered the amazing song she had heard in the middle of the night. She looked it up and added it to her Favorites. It quickly became one of her favorite songs and the artist became one of her favorite artists.
That song was this song and that is the story of how I found the channel of Sam Tsui.

This song is so underrated :(

I had a best friend. But every single day, i started to love her. Not as friend, but more than that. Then there's a guy who is also my friend likes her. He took step by step to approach her. I guess he succeeds now. She said she doesn't like anybody including that guy. But at that guy's birthday, she wished her in instagram. She just wished me in whatsapp but in a long essay 🤣. Still, i felt jealousy and offended. Then we fought and i blocked her. It has been months now but i still can't get her out of my head. And this song reminds me of her. 😢

Am I the only one who was scared that something's gotta pop out of that doorway at the end HAHA
