is it only me who thinks that it is recorded too fast... sounds like they are in a hurry. the high range of sam is incredible, still parts like "aaaall" sound autocorrected/ pitched to me

Excellent! Constructive criticism is good although, I have to say all negative comments here are just flat-out bullshit. Adding drums would have added a huge dynamic but not necessary. Sam you are really high on my list of talented musicians with an absolutely amazing voice.  Some day would love to get you to sing to one of my originals.  You rock!
