Still processing the death of my mother and Neil in the same week. The first concert I ever went to was Rush on their Hemispheres Tour in 1978 Seattle. Thank You Mom and Aunt Jean for taking me to my first concert. If there is an afterlife, I hope you meet Neil. Godspeed Mom. Listening to Rush now will forever have a new meaning for me.

I love this song and its a cool analogy, but I always found it a wierd one considering no matter what the maples do they'd always be unable to uproot the oaks, while that doesn't really apply to men

Rest easy Neil. I started drumming when I was 10, I am now a 14 year old boy and you were always my hero. Even now when I need some reassurance, I turn on Rush. This band and Neil peart’s drumming never cease to amaze me no matter how often I listen. Too soon did you leave us. The world truly was a better place with you in it. May you rest in peace, you absolute legend. 🤘

I saw the Moving Pictures tour in Dallas, 1981 or 82. It's still the most badass concert I've seen. The energy, the thrill, the crowd. I became a Rushoid that day with no regrets. Rest in peace Neil.

Neil will be missed greatly, but thank you to all of you for the amazing music through out the years! I went to the Snakes and Arrows tour in Indiana (my mom was the lady in all pink around 2006ish) and we had an absolute blast while we were there!

He invented so much in rock.
The drum cage that moved, of course nowadays they have drum cages, on roller coaters. But what a sound. He was an integral part of rock history. He was completely unique, All the little nuances of percussion and intros and exits to each movement within the songs. I dont know if he ever just sat there content to utilize a hi hat and a cowbell, nope never...

A phenomenal band! As far as I am concerned, RUSH is the greatest band ever! It's not one particular member but the entirety of the group. Absolute perfection and synchronicity. Real substance and meaning. No other band even comes close in my submission.

As much as Neil is a HOF drummer he is a modern poet and philosopher of equal magnitude. Im here by way of mourning and also reappreciation for a unique band that colored my formative years in a very positive way.

The music and lyrics of Rush shaped my life. All of these songs represent different timelines in my life , like chapters in a book. No other band had such an impact on me. Rest In Peace Neil.

I was so fortunate to grow up in the 60's & 70's. Drummers like The Professor, Bonzo, Moon the Loon and Ginger stood out on rock tracks like never before or since. Now, they've all left this world. The thunder from above will only get louder now. RIP Neal... legendary drummer and equally great song writer.
