I love this but whoever engineered this mixed the kick drum waaay too loud

Alex's solo saves this song from being one of the worst songs Rush ever did. I like Geddy but never cared much for his own background vocals

Ladies and Gents, Im on a" trip" listening to this whole album. OMG!! I had forgoten how a great album this is!!! Neurotica is great...One question, what is the sound at the end that causes Geddy to say "Stop!", way at the end of the fade

Yea I was 11 when this album came out and celebrated every single song. I was quite familiar with the previous albums yet my favorite album is definitely " Roll the Bones" and I have jammed it for all these years and basically it was the album of my day. But I had access to the early days of Rush with every cassette tape...you know the list. Fly by Night,Moving pictures,etc. Thanks if you read this.

Agree! I LOVE this song, one of my favorites on the album. Alex's guitar work is fantastic. This is Geddy's least favorite Rush song for some reason.

Every non-hit is an underrated Rush song.

geddy lee had an interview the other day, and he said he heard this song and thought to himself "what were we thinking?" "this is terrible" are you serious Ged? this song is so cool.

Geddy's just another hack critic i never listen to. He even thinks "Caress Of Steel" is a bad album. What would that amateur know anyway?

Thanks for your reply full of recognition! Since a couple of months, Rush is my most favorite rock band. I mostly admire the fact that their lyrics are not stereotypically tough at all, contrary to the average hardrockband. On Youtube interviews with Rush, they appeared to look natural, without any affected tough behavior. Combined with their philosophical lyrics, they have a kind of groundbreaking uniqueness in the rock world. What does Rush mean to you? Do they recall any precious memories?

Wow, this song has a inexplicable vibrancy in one of my unreachable heavens. Funny that this song is called Neurotica, because it doesn't sound like that at all, rather so profoundly but mellowly mystic!

I regret that they had never performed this one live, among many other great catchy songs, like Available Light, Cut to the Chase, Dog Years or The Color of Right, just to mention a few...

Sounds to me as if this was inspired by Hitchcock's VERTIGO. Well, anyway Rush did a sociology song in the past ( Subdivisions ) and now they came up with a nifty psychology song. As usual, Rush may be the only band to pull it off with flying colors.

I still feel a bit embarrassed about how I feel as if this is the band's "new album". @heretoforeandnow I too miss that polished sound in the later albums. However I have to say that no album has come close to the sonic power that Presto had. Every sound was in your face and just alive.

In RTB they started losing some of that. I wonder if it was conscious to suit the more mellow sound of the songs.
