imagine picking up this album at random, then you make it all the way to this song. Mind was already blown from the first 5 songs at that point and then Natural Science starts and you hear it for the first time...

I admit that I strayed from the Rush path after "Moving Pictures", and came back full circle only a few years ago. I can honestly say that Neil's death has knocked me sideways, and I realise now just what an incredible man he was. "Natural Science", which I haven't listened to for almost 40 years is sounding AMAZING. Grief, how lucky I was to see them in relatively small venues in June 1980. Blessed, indeed! So much love being expressed for Neil, and Rush, which is a heartwarming thing, isn't it?

When I got this album it was a cassette and didn't have the lyric sheet. The line at 3:44 sounds like 'in their own image, their world is fascist' Geddy's vocal blends in perfectly with Neil's washy hi-hat, adding a 'sss' sound at the end of the word. Years later I got the CD and lyrics and saw the word is 'fashioned' and I thought.. hmm, that changes things. LOL

I always enjoyed that wind blown skirt when I was in middle school. Great album, top level rush maybe considered their best. What a tremendous loss of a great man who Was so integral to this trio powerhouse of great sound. Great men made great music to last our lifetime. RUSH!

Very interesting choice for favorite Rush track. It's pretty damn good and I don't really hear too many people mention it. Almost a hidden gem off of this album.
