Rundgren, Todd - Kindness Lyrics

The one that showed me kindness
Was the one that taught me kindness
Though I did not recognize it
Still I might have died without it
And when I awakened
It was too late to thank her
If I live someday I'll make repayment
And show someone the kindness she showed me

When my voice grows strident
When I feel important
I'm reminded of that kindness
And where I'd be without it
I'm learning my lessons
It may take me a lifetime
Give me strength to justify my being
And show someone the kindness shown to me

    A masterpiece.
Tears in my eyes for my two Grandmothers, who have since passed on to their next adventure.
I've listened to this song ever since it came out on the 2nd Wind album, and it still deeply moves me...
We need Kindness now more than ever ☮

Beautiful. One of my faves from Todd. Keeping my fingers crossed he plays it this evening in Toronto.

Heared this for the first time live in London yesterday and instantly fell in love with it.

We lost the kindest man here in Chattanooga today. Dedicating this song to Sandy The Flower Man. RIP 💐🌸💮🏵🌹🥀🌺⚘🌷🌼🌻

I'm sorry for your loss, Annie. I visited Chattanooga not quite a year ago and it is now one of my favorite places in the world. <3

@ChicagoJan Thanks Jan, I'm from CHI burbs originally. Lived so many places, but CHA feels like home. It's gentrifying at the speed of light, tho, so come back soon if you have a mind to. They want to close the Walnut St. Bridge down for repairs for 1.5 years soon. Doesn't make sense to me...oh well.🌠
