I was introduced to Xavier Rudd by people back in about 2013 young enough to be my children...but I didn't tell them that :-)
I was on a journey to my SELF at that time from about 2011 til 2013. During that time, I had many adventures, I lived in a hostel in the mountains with people who could have been my kids but since I never had any, I didn't have the body of a woman who ever gave birth so I remain splendidly under the radar of "detection" I will never forget my wild woman travels into the unknown of my true "being-ness" If I'd ever given birth to a girl I would have told her "Go, EXPLORE the wildness outside of you and it will lead you to the wildness of you withIN. I met so many young women during my journeys and they never knew I was old enough to be their mom. I had great times learning and adapting. I truly stepped out of my familiar comfort zone. What came out of that is a true inner resilience meaning from the point of realizing my inner resilience I now know beyond the shadow of any inner doubts, I KNOW I can survive and take care of ME. If you are in any kind of rut in your life, step out into the unknown before you finish this life. You may be amazed by not only how strong you become, but also by the incredible people you meet from all walks of life and ALL ages. I did and it made all the difference in my life. Today marks 4 months since i walked away from an extrmely abusive and violent family dynamic. I am healing deep ancestral wounds and walking away from everything i once knew so that someday future generations won't have to deal with these cycles of abuse. Thank you Xavier for your music, it inspires me to keep my head up and gives me courage to continue healing. Today this song popped into my head and it made me realize how far i've come.
