Very great song :) I am a bit disappointed by some of the comments on here though. Remember that Xavier Rudd performs and recorded this tune, but music is meant to be interpreted individually. If you start imposing on others' thoughts, you are essentially inhibiting their ability to have a truly individual interpretation. You'll never meet these people in real life, so if you disagree, thats fine, but don't be a burden to random strangers...thats just rude.

Regardless, I really enjoy this track and look forward to listening to it many times in the future!

See, sacredness is a concept I'm at a failure to grasp. Is that when you pollute the river at my feet before even reaches my country and cut down all its trees? How about that sagebrush? Kinda disappearing before anyone even knew it was useful, but we do have a lot of tumbleweeds which are actually a Russian species (non native invader). If you burn sagebrush, to me it means FIRE & DEATH. Hate to be so attached, but to me we are all one & I can't detatch fire from sagebrush given the American holocaust it has created. Stop with the smoke screen & lets be real. Sagebrush burning is NOT COOL- see the latest PBS show on the subject here: http://www.pbs.org/wnet/nature/sagebrush-sea-full-episode/12341/ . Trippy huh? Just an example for you of the disjunctness between how people feel and know (not much apparently) and what the reality really is. Go for one, not two or more folks! What does the sagebrush REALLY say about fire? You think it wants to be burned so you can feel all kum- ba- ya?

@imathayne I agree with most of what you have said (thanks for the sage reminder btw) To "walk the talk" is vital.True. Now, having followed Rudd for a few years I don't think to "meditate and stay there" is what he promotes? He actively supports Australian aborigines rights (in music and real life) and even an organisation as non-mainstream as the Sea Shepherd. Maybe some of his lyrics can sound naive sometimes but as a follower of the traditions one HAS to remember (and remind others) the original values of union and sacredness - even if it sounds "flaky". What anglosaxon or mainstream people understand from that, I believe is out of any artist's control. Just my reflection. Peace.
