I can not think of any song that rings truer and it's been tested by the "River of Time" since 1958.

I had never heard this song while Roy was alive and at his peak in the early to mid-60s. It wasn't one of his big hits but it should have been out there with the rest of them. It's as great and  beautiful as anything he ever did but, as far as I can tell, it was only released on a Don Gibson tribute album and not as a single. What a set of vocal cords this man had.

He also did it on an album called Orbisongs.

This original version was initially on his first Monument album, "Lonely and Blue", issued in 1961. It was my first Roy Orbison purchase. The version on the Don Gibson tribute album is a remake.

Written and recorded by Don Gibson in 1960. Roy Orbison just has one of the greatest voices ever.....This is absolutely fantatic
