Roth, David Lee - Big Trouble Lyrics
Ah yeah
Ahh
Well, Mousy Joe got the master plan
He got a hat full of sugar. Folks said, "You a lucky man."
And all we found was his hat in a clearing
Down by the 7-Eleven
Folks cried, someone said he died
But I know Joe didn't go to heaven, no
He went looking for trouble, wow
It was in his eyes, woah
She was a dime a dozen
And they were two of a kind
Kinda quiet dude and she was 'sposed to be back at the house
With the kids and the dog
"And tonight we're rocketeers," said Mouse.
"And I know a little joint upstairs in the back
Where we can sweat it all out and laugh."
And without a doubt they were out
Looking for trouble, wow
The real kind, woah
She was a dime a dozen, ha ha ha
And they were two of a kind
How many times have you said to yourself
"Hey, I feel like a yo-yo, I've been here too long."
I bet if you asked them, our heroes would say
"Hey, we're already gone."
I know, somehow I know
How many times have you said to yourself
"Hey, pack up and go, I've been here too long."
I bet if you asked them, our heroes would say
"Hey, we're already gone."
I know
How do I know that, fellas?
Yeah, and off they drove, late night still life
Paper moon shinin' brilliantly
And Cherry thinks that's cool
'Cause any moon of Mouse's is a friend of hers
And this one will do just fine
So what do you say we go lookin'?

cherry blue and mighty mouse.....lol...sweet
I gotta hat full of sugar.... God damn I love this song.
grazie gobbo!!!! ma, pensando ai film, facendo riferimento a carlo lizzani o a stelvio massi e umberto lenzi ?
To me, this was Vai at his best. Love that fast "dry" sounding alternate picking.
is he playing Dorian in that solo?
One of Steve eyes best solos ever I think he gained a lot of respect by not trying to copy Eddie
One of Steve vai's best solos ever I think he gained a lot of respect by not trying to copy Eddie
I told you.....
There was plenty of warnings!!!
You prefer to follow your paranoia and your delusions, and now "that's the way it is"!!!
Bye bye bye
You lost this game!!! You're out of the game now!

🎼 "Some heads are gonna roll" 🎼🎸🎸
It's always good when posting a video to know which album the song was from, and who the guitar player, and the band for that matter was. Just sayin'
Tonight we’re rocketeers said Mouse!!
STEVE VAI !!!!!!
pure f***in solid coolness: aaaaaaaaaaahhhhh….
"Down by the 7/11 folks cried, someone said he died, but I know, Joe, didn't go to heaven, no!"-Classic Roth, great lyrics from life experiences, Vai absolutely shreds this track after chords using palm muted E string "clicks" with "fret picking". One of best DLR licks!
that chorus is LIFE
DLR sexy motherfucker
Thats porn as its best ..
That was the perfect combo 🙌😎😇👍
So, if I asked Dave, he'd say i'm already gone?
Thats gold, Jerry. That's gold.
Seinfeld! Classic!
Mind if I use that?
Bad Ass jam !!!
The sound quality of this upload is insanely good
That note at 2:20
Sudo Nim \m/
one ofmy favs of all time love this cut thanks dave and steve
Billy Sheenan brings the bottom end on this track, great groove.
Why is Eddie Van Halen on the above photo? This song is ALL Vai.
the dream team: greck bisonette drums , steve vai guitar , billy sheehan, davis lee doth singer are the rock stars
you think they could have put a pik of Vai up at least .. bone head
Dave's Heroes Kill 'Em All...
Eddie Van Halen does NOT play on the track or any track on this CD. I am wondering why the picture was used instead of the thousands of Dave with Steve Vai that are around.
A beautiful Vai showcase. Easily one of the greatest guitar solos of all time.
LOOKIN FOR TROUBLE!
folks cried....someone said he died
AWWWWWWW YEAH
thanks Il gobo di roma?for uploading this great song
This is one of my favorite guitar solo
quem é o retardado q n curte esse som,10 babacas q n entendem nd de música...esse som é muito foda |m|
why is there a pic of Eddie on the video?Steve Vai played on this song.....from the Eat 'Em and Smile cd
🎼🎵🎶🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸
Why have a picture I'd Dave with EVH when this was his Vai period?
Steve Vai Guitar.
vai es un genio!

this is fuckin god tier man, cant believe ive never listened to this
+Nick Merrick Best song he ever did..Check DLR Band/Blacklight,,Awesome
Nick Merrick haha noob
Great song, and with the best lyric Dave Lee Roth ever came up with! B|
+Joeskint yeah the bridge is bananas lyrically! the whole shit. like the black cat on the jam. "how do i know that? LMAO! he said on howard stern that this song was influenced by urban life in NYC. he relocated there. still lives there.
mado ! quanto adoro questa canzone !!!
This song could be on Fair Warning and no one would bat an eye. The absolute best DLR solo stuff.
Eat Em an smile is the only David Lee Roth solo record I like a lot. It is almost up there with the Van Halen debut
steve vai was more creative when he was with DLR..
+Bey Zam zappa
this is the only Vai stuff that i like, he plays for the songs here.. great guitar parts..
Jibicus Maximus Check out his work with Alcatrazz if you get a chance.
I've always loved Steve Vai and David Lee Roth but together they are amazing.
That's a pretty cool song from DDLR's solo record.
+Angela DeSilva the chord at 0:11 (C#-7, and in the whole track, actually) is faaaaaaaaaantastic..I love SV fof this kind of things..amazing musician..
+Simon Holanda amazing album!
pure Awesomeness
wrong guitarist in the picture- this was vai not eddie
I love Eddie, but this is a Vai / Roth masterpiece. Saw Vai with Satch and Petrucci at the Fillmore, Denver 2000. The crowd was booing Stu Hamm on bass for Satch. Some tension between the musical studs. Any how, cool place to be in time. Petrucci stole the show as an opener, picture this as for his technique. Take a drum stick and rake it down a picket fence. Now and melody and harmony. Yeah.
Chris Paul - they shout Stuuuu not Booo, I think, no?
...true...soneone messed up...yep!!!!
i love hagars van halen ,but this cd carried the spirit of what van halen was was.
I didn't like Van Hagar. Van Halen lost a lot without Roth. Van Halen became watered down and more bubble gum rock with Hagar with the exception of a few songs.
Great DLR Song! One of my favs for sure!
amazing song and my favorite vai solo
Jack Broad it’s Vai’s favorite solo as well. And mine too.
I can hear Zappa in Vai's playing
+details78 So true but we can also hear Satriani in is guitar melody
details78 true, Zappa is great but he is no Vai
I can totally remember when this came out,and Jamming it for that whole summer of "87" FUN TIMES!!!!
Yessir! But EeaS came out in '86. End of course, it was a great Summer
That was an awesome summer.
eddie who
Eddie Roger
At least people know this is Vai and not Halen even though the uploaded messed up the picture
Gotdayum! Now that's one helluva solo!
Better than Van Hagar ofcourse
Love Roth he did so good on his own! Don't get me wrong I love Eddie also!!!
One of the first rap rock songs :)
Check out the song "into the void" by black sabbath from the same entitled album "Into the Void". Probably one of the first rap type songs ever made.
she was a dime a dozen heh heh ha!
IMHO Vais best playing ever is with DLR
I was in big trouble myself whilst playing air guitar to this tune once when I was 16 as I got so excited I soiled myself.
This is one of the best rock solos in history.
Vai,Beck,Clapton,Page. U r a Tru guitar man.
Did EVH actually play on this tune or Vai ??
No, Eddie never played on this album. It was all Vai.
Why they chose a picture of Dave and Eddie I'll never know.
who's the guy on the picture? eddie or steve?
Steve Vai for ya buddy ;)
@2:24 Vai is like "Yeah I'm gonna just do this, then I'm gonna imitate a seagull, followed by the most ridiculous(ridiculous in the GOOD way) tapping run you've heard.. OK we done here? I'll be back tomorrow, I'm going for a milkshake", because that is what you do after you've just laid down one of the best solos in history. What a great album and a great band of musicians =)
The photo is not Vai.
Lol. In other news. Water...is WET!
Thank you....was just about to post the same thing
One of the best DLR-SV songs ever.....cant believe how good it sounds all these years later
man i miss cock rock , this shit rocked:}
I did! It's "we're rocketeers" not "where rocketeers".
Steve Vai just had that Zappa sound!
Man this solo still sends shivers down my spine.Unbelievable.
um, wrong guitarist in the picture
Way to put a Picture of Dave and Ed together when Eddy isn't even playing this song. Way to know anything about David Lee Roth and Vai.
Vai is the f***ing man!!!!!
I agree
What the hell does that mean anyway?!
Now THAT is a guitar solo.
Best David Lee Roth song of all time...Hands down..
no, HE IS!! ...is an old van halen picture!
Very true! There's a competitive nature that's on a whole other level.
This was cut with Billy Sheehan on bass and Greg Bissonette on drums. This song appeared on Eat Em and Smile. Matt Bissonette took over for Sheehan on Skyscraper. I saw the David Lee Roth Band do this live (with Sheehan) in Buffalo. I'm from Western New York, so OF COURSE I've seen Billy Sheehan with Talas. If I hadn't I may have had my guitar nerd card revoked.
JAMES
Favorite tune on this album!!!! Can't go wrong with Vai & Sheehan!!!! Where rocketeers said mouse!!!
Yay! Condensed Vai is always a good thing, notable for xebio6's comments
Anyone know if this was with Sheehan or the brothers Bissonnette (sp)? Great 4 minute travelling. Step on in 'at' the one Stevie.
Nice tune, helps me through the day...
Vai at his best. Funny how so many great instrumentalists seem to really shine when working for others as sidemen... Restricted to the 4 minute song they are forced to go straight to the point. Serving the tune actually gets the best out of them, in my opinion. I own several Vai's solo albums, but this and Skyscraper contain some of his best playing.
Looks like Eddie in the picture
Hey guys, I've just posted a cover of this solo! Could you PLEASE check it out? Thanks a lot!
The genius of Steve Vai on full display here.
My most favorite song,,thanks Dave
@kokanish This one and Ladies Night in Buffalo
