Ross, Diana - Will This Be The Day Lyrics

Good morning world
How will today greet me
A single girl who needs a man
To love sweetly

A man to wrap his loving arms around me
Let me know that he's glad he's found me
I'll be his joy

Come on heart
Let's search for the boy
He's out there waiting somewhere
Tell me will this be the day
He'll come my way

You know, I comb my hair
While I run my bath
And I wonder where
Will he cross my path

Will I see him at the corner bus stop
The art museum or the market where I shop
He'll catch my eye

Come on heart
Let's go find the guy
He's out there waiting somewhere
Tell me will this be the day
Love will say

Now is the time
Here is the place
This is the hand
Here is the face
This is the man
Who set the pace
Your heart is beating

By and by and by
I know my day will dawn
That day when I will know before it's gone
Hey, what it means to have found that someone
Who can make up two hearts become one
Love can be found

Come on heart
Let's go look around
He's out there waiting somewhere
Tell me will this be the day
He'll come my way

Tell me that this is the day
I hope and pray
I hope and pray
That this will be the day
He'll come my way

I fell in love with the song when I got the "Love Child" 45 for Xmas in 1968..I still have it, too!! I never knew that Smokey Robinson was one of the writers till recently, but - Can't you tell it's a Smokey song?? That floating, weightless melody, and the sexy fun little way the rhymes play...Still a favorite

Beautiful Memories from years past!!! Used to wake up each morning and this was the first song I would play on my "old" Hi Fi!!!! And the song STILL sounds and resonates TODAY FOR ME!!!!!!!!!!!

This song is so special to me..I had all The Supremes LPs. I grew up on The Motown Sound. I am an Oldie now but I have all their song on my MP3 now..Still bumping The Supremes.

This is one of the rare times Mary and Cindy were actually recorded on a drats release. Cindy on soprano. Mary, contralto. Cindy is working it. She sounds like she is trying to replicate Flo's soprano although Cindy is more a second soprano. She broke out of that when Jean came in and tore it up live. Listen to her live on FB The Seventies Supremes page. Love and prayers being sent to you Cindy. We love you

I agree so much. This is one of my favorite albums by The Supremes - not sure if it's b'cause it was a special time in my life or if it's just that good an album. Supremes@ their best.

Can you Upload the rest of this album? I Tried to find the original version of "Let The Music Play", "With a Child's Heart", "Discover Me (and You'll Discover Love)" but I Couldn't. Can you upload them? please!

  15. E.... ....

@theSUPREMEscene I can't believe that 2014 will be their anniversary for "Where Did Our Love Go." It might sound ironic for me to say this considering I was no near being born then, but time really does fly.
