Fantastic track. From the Blueprint album which I still own on vinyl, from 1973. What a great songwriter he was. An authentic bluesman from Ireland and a guitar virtuoso, steeped in the blues, who gave so much pleasure during his short life. Miss you, Rory.

My first LP was Rory Gallagher Live in Europe
Had the t-shirt too... Light green, long sleeved, Black print of Rory.... Maybe I'll just die of nostalgia and that aching longing for 70s Galway, Ireland..... And this is my favourite Rory Gallagher track. Dark and deep.

Rory Gallagher middle name was Genius, Yes Genius at his trade.
Some people say that Rory was underrated, this is a totally false statement to make. The people who have been lucky to hear his music and seen him and the boys in his band at gigs know he was at the very the top of the list. Rory could out rock the very best yet could play a slow sweet sad song like Daughter of the Everglades. Rory was totally believable, there was nothing false about this man, In some way like Phil Lynott, they both totally believed in what they did. If you do not believe me about what I say about Rory then you should go and ask the man James Marshall "Jimi" Hendrix, he will put you right

I love this Song !

I have just been advised to pass on this completely true story which I have been holding on to for many years. When Rory passed on from this place, Saint Peter was given a day off from work, God with his son Jesus stood in for St Peter as they wanted to meet their man as he walked up to the main gates. they had a special request to make to Rory. God & Jesus asked Rory would he do a special gig for them, the already had a stage set up with a selection of their other favorite players. Rory agreed and jumped up and stage Philip Parris "Phil" Lynott, James Marshall "Jimi" Hendrix, Robert William Gary Moore, Willy DeVille and John Henry Bonham are played all night long down in the Kingdom Hall, the place packing the place out with Jesus up is the front most nights having a great time rocking out and God is very pleased with the good works. Rory and his new boys have been on a none stop tour playing up to 5 nights each week, they a fully booked way in to the future. They play down at the Kingdom Hall almost every saturday night with long queues of people backing way down the streets and around the block

Yes Master Rory Gallager was my Teacher and Educator. Rory was Gods guitarist, singer/songwriter and messenger of quality music on our earth. Back in our days, in old London town when we were young our parents did not have much money but they would send us to college gigs to see Rory Gallagher and his boys and get the education to last us a life time from this MASTER, been in his classroom was the very best thing that could happen, we came away knowing things which we have used all through our lives. When you have some spare time click on to YouTube and watch this human hurricane in action, The Master Musician Rory Gallagher and his boys going to town at full speed, shin kick going crazy suffering from the bullfrog blues and shadow playing at full pelt. What other person would walk on hot coals then at the end of a show go up to the front of the stage to thank his audience a million, he would say thanks a million to everyone. I bought his album Blueprint the other day in a local record store, and fell in love immediately with this song. It has this certain dark and haunting quality. And Rory's guitar playing! I don't understand why he is never as famous as guys like Clapton. To me he is as good as the other guitar giants, if not better.

Blueprint is a brilliant album, this track is 43 years old yet sounds better than ever, Rory was a rare gift. As much as I loved the trios, I think Lou added a certain dimension, they were perfect together.
