Ronstadt, Linda - Trouble Again Lyrics
Well I wake up in the night now
And don't you know I think of you
It's the fire in your eyes
That keeps on cutting through
There's nowhere I can run to
I never really was a bad girl
But you got me in trouble again
Well I used to walk the straight line
I knew what I was doing all the time
There was nothing left to move me
I always held my ground
But you got me where you want me
And now you're always here to haunt me
I never really was a bad girl
I still remember how it felt when you put your arms around me
But if I thought you could love me, I was blind
But you got me where you want me
And now you're always here to haunt me
I never really was a bad girl
But you got me in trouble again
Well you'd think I would've learned by now
And I'd keep away from you somehow
Just like a little child
I keep coming back for more
But baby when you come today
Don't you know that I'll come out and play
I never really was a bad girl
But you got me in trouble again
I never really was a bad girl
But you got me in trouble again
Woah I never really was a bad girl
But you got me in trouble again

Good song .why no karaoke?
That note starting at 1:23 is AMAZING!
This does not feature Aaron Neville
Aretha is in the same stratosphere
Long Live Linda! 💖
Excellente. La voix de Linda est pure cristalline. Adorable!
👉❤️❤️ (H🇭🇺)
I miss her beautiful voice. The way she holds the note in this song, amazing!
Should have been a single. It has a great sing-along quality.
Michael Burkhalter I thought the same thing. I wasn’t a big fan of the Aaron Neville singles, but they were the only singles from the album. This was up to snuff as a pop single after so many years doing other styles.
Aaron isn't on this track. Rosemary Butler is singing backup.
thank you for saying that....I was like, "Aaron Neville"???
I think they meant that he's a part of that album. He appears on most tracks and his name is featured on the title and cover.
@Heartboy1031 Exactly! His album cover credit is well-deserved.
I have always truly loved Linda but this one song I like Karla's version better. It has more bite.
Oh man, Mung - you are dead on! I dearly love Linda Ronstadt, but I saw Karla perform this song live at the Oklahoma City Civic Center Auditorium in 1981, backed by Mike Botts, Larry Knechtel, Andrew Gold and others -- and I'll tell you for sure, she blew that audience AWAY!
My favourite song off of this album!
Linda Ronstadt has a peerless voice. There are lots of gifted talented singers, but none can match her vocal ability - she has a natural operatic quality voice. Amazing.
