Ronstadt, Linda - I Just Don't Know What To Do With Myself Lyrics

I just don't know what to do with myself
Don't know just what to do with myself
I'm so used to doing everything with you
Planning everything for two
And now that we're through

I just don't know what to do with my time
I'm so lonesome for you it's a crime
Going to a movie only makes me sad
Parties make me feel as bad
When I'm not with you
I just don't know what to do
Like a summer rose needs the sun and rain
I need your sweet love to ease all the pain

I don't know just what to do with myself
I don't know just what to do with myself
Baby if your new love ever turns you down
Come back I will be around
Just waiting for you
I don't know what else to do
Like a summer rose needs the sun and rain
I need your sweet love to ease all the pain

I don't know just what to do with myself
I don't know just what to do with myself
Baby if your new love ever turns you down
Come on back I will be around
Just waiting for you
I don't know what else to do
No no no
I don't know what else to do
I'm just so crazy for you
No no no no
I don't know what else to do
I don't know whaaaat else to do

  4. T.... R....

Ronstant nails it! What an awesome rendition.

  5. D.... ....

    Man, fuck Parkisons...
Rondstadt is one of my favorites (and you will like country)

  6. D.... H....

IMO only 'top of the line' female vocalist attempted to record this~Linda had the 'range' & used it beautifully...Thank You Linda!

  7. H.... C....

Linda and Dusty. Great singers. Clear, honest power. Linda was much deeper into the scene but made it out alive.

  8. W.... B....

she wont replace gene but she delivers the right emotion to justify anybody playing her version-well done

  9. B.... H....

Love this one , outstanding work dirty girl.😁

  10. C.... R....

    Hermosa voz!!! 😍😍😍😍

  11. P.... H....

Thi is good but try listening to the 1977 version by Marcia Hines.

  12. M.... a....

    my best friend's wedding

  13. L.... V....

Linda could sing Binary and I'd still like it !

  14. D.... V....

I will always be in love with Linda Ronstadt.

  15. b.... f....

    fuck she will allways rock

  16. J.... W....

So sad she can no longer sing. Beautiful voice.

  17. P.... G....

    Gary Puckett OWNS this song......PERIOD!

  18. l.... r....

So interesting when so many great singers sing the same song. Got to give this one to Dusty. But I'd Give Linda the upper hand with "Silver Threads and Golden Needles." Which was a big hit for Dusty when she was with The Springfields. Dionne and Cissy Houston also did great covers of "I Just Don't Know What to Do with Myself."

  19. C.... J....

    WOW WOW WOW!

  20. j.... b....

    nice...

  21. S.... C....

    Voice- unimpeachable. Too bloody fast.

  22. D.... B....

How on earth can people think the white stripes version is better???

    D.... B....

I could not agree more. The White Stripes version is an abomination compared to Dusty and Linda's versions.

    D.... B....

Both are good, I don't pick sides!

  23. 7.... ....

I have every one of Linda's lps and I think Winter Light is her best!!

  24. Z.... ....

    My Best Friend's Wedding

  25. J.... M....

Linda sounds a bit like Karen Carpenter at times here.

    J.... M....

+Jake Miller sounds a lot more like Linda Ronstadt.

    J.... M....

@J. R. Brody Do you think!

    J.... M....

    She likes Karen Carpenter

  26. J.... M....

I love Dusty to death, but Linda out did her here.

  27. V.... ....

This is Dusty Springfield...................No one could touch those note like her.........!

    V.... ....

Nope, it's very clearly Linda, and I loved Dusty's singing.

  28. M.... ....

I like it! But The White Stripes turned it into a mad raging version of this :)

    M.... ....

+carstopguy Dusty's and Linda's versions are miles ahead of the White Stripes in my opinion. Jack White's voice is too thin to sing it and do it justice. jmo

    M.... ....

nobody will ever compare to Dusty, but this is beautiful. Elvis Costello did a much better version than the White Stripes on Stiffs Live

  29. A.... R....

    My goodness this is beautiful

  30. J.... D....

This version was used to perfection in the 2012 comedy Girl Most Likely starring Kristen Wiig in the staged suicide scene.  Great comedy and even greater song!!

    J.... D....

Your cousin-in-law, (Jim Gilstrap) sang with Linda Ronstadt on that song entitled "ooh baby baby. If you listen to it

    J.... D....

If you listen to it, you will hear Jim's soft voice.

  31. J.... W....

    LOVE SONG

  32. s.... i....

    cool :-)

  33. g.... ....

Not able to sing anymore, just too hard to believe, your voice a true gift to us. Parkinson's is such a cruel disease.

  34. A.... O....

The White Stripes made the best version of this song...

    A.... O....

Sorry. Jack White's version is an abomination. And the video is a travesty.

  35. J.... P....

Let them know, don't make a goofy stubborn mistake, like I did.

  36. S.... ....

*sigh* I still love him so so much and this just reminds me of that fact.

  37. a.... ....

OMG!! I needed this, for so many reasons, but mostly for favorite list! ;) Thanks--in the liner notes on Winter Light, Linda notes Ms. Springfield--who is my SECOND most fav singer in the world!!!!!!!!!

  38. n.... j....

    wrong, this is Dusty

    n.... j....

Wrong, it's Linda 100%. But Dusty was superb.

  39. T.... ....

Such a hottie, I could have sung'' We have only just begun'' :D

  40. C.... ....

What a voice! I love Linda....

  41. v.... ....

Linda' rendition is the best version of this Burt Bacharach composition from her Winters Light album.
