Ronstadt, Linda - Heartbeats Accelerating Lyrics

Love, love, where can you be?
Are you out there looking for me?
Love, love, where can you be?
Love, I am waiting
Heartbeats accelerating

Will you come when all is still
From the river or the hill
Love, love, where can you be
Love, I am waiting
Heartbeats accelerating

Will you come on a Saturday night
Maybe then the time will be right
Love, love, where can you be
Love, I am waiting
Heartbeats accelerating

When you steal into my room
What earthly body will you assume
Love, love, where can you be
Love, I am waiting
Heartbeats accelerating

Will you come on a Saturday night
Maybe then the time will be right
Love, love, where can you be
Love, I am waiting
Heartbeats accelerating

Love, love, where can you be?
Are you out there looking for me
Love, love, where can you be
Are you out there looking for me
Love, I am waiting
Heartbeats accelerating
Love, I am waiting
Heartbeats accelerating

Con esta canción le pedí a mi gran amor, que fuese mí esposa.

In my day, when I first heard the Song, it was given out that the initial Melody Line was rendered from a distant signal NASA had picked up from Outer-Space

  5. C.... M....

This song is one of the greatest of all time....incredible

  6. N.... M....

    Amazing song

  7. F.... ....

I was fortunate to see her once live in concert....unfortunately by that time the pipes had started to fade....but it was still a thrill to see someone who has brought me so much pleasure over decades since my teens....I never grow tired listening to that magnificent voice, whatever genre she happens to be singing.....

  8. E.... L....

An overlooked Gem from Ronstadt's later canon. Love that voice no matter where she took it.

  9. S.... A....

    Great song.

  10. B.... B....

It's heartbreaking to know this lady lost her voice it's the crime of the century

This song is such a showcase for her amazing ability to project her voice in vastly different ways. I remember seeing an interview with her when the song was released where she talked about how inspired she was to record the song for that very reason. I so love her and was deeply saddened upon learning about how Parkinson's had left her unable to sing. Thank God for the fact that she had such a large body of work that will live on forever. Linda Ronstadt you are truly immortal ❤️❤️

So when Heartbeats Accelerating came out my son was two or a little more. Whenever he heard this song he would run out and stand in front of the speakers. Keep in mind that Linda's voice is relatively soft at the beginning. He would stand there, well, bopping his head. But when Linda belted out "love love where can you be" he would start laughing uproariously and begin to dance. It was his first favorite song. If for no other reason, I love this song; there are of course many other reasons to love it.

Linda Ronstadt in "Enya - Style" - love it.

  34. i.... ....

Looks like those bastards at WMG or wherever had the original music video deleted due to 'copyright issues'.  Urgh!  I _hate_ it when they do that!

  35. K.... ....

Wonderful! I first heard this on Johnny Jason's 'Peaceful Hour' on City FM (Liverpool) whilst at Uni. I adore the use of the glass harmonica to create the 'haunting' melody. Coupled with Linda's superb voice, a memorable track. Thanks for posting!
