Ronstadt, Linda - Don't Talk (Put Your Head On My Shoulder) Lyrics
I can hear so much in your sighs
And I can see so much in your eyes
There are words we both could say
Don't talk, put your head on my shoulder
Don't talk, take my hand and let me hear your heart beat
Being here with you feels so right
We could live forever tonight
Let's not think about tomorrow
And don't talk, put your head on my shoulder
Come close, close your eyes and be still
Don't talk, take my hand and listen to my heart beat
Listen
Listen
Don't talk, put your head on my shoulder
Don't talk, close your eyes and be still
Don't talk, put your head on my shoulder
Don't talk, close your eyes and be still

This is a classic from ' Pet Sounds " ------& I know BW loves this------how could he not ?? ----------------WolfSky9, 72 y/o
beautiful version by her
Tho thumbs down by assholes
Linda's beautiful ode to Brian Wilson's most beautiful song ever! (The first time I heard this song in '66 I was changed forever. The entire Pet Sounds album was sheer musical geniusness).
Gene.. I agree... This changed my life too...
Absolutely gorgeous ! -----------Ohhhhhhh Linda ! ---------------------WolfSky9, 71 y/o
this saved my day
2:15 the fade back into the coda is hauntingly beautiful.
Whoa! Surprisingly great.
Excelente version
Oh, this is incredible! Gorgeous! This seriously rivals the "Pet Sounds" original. I wonder if Wilson has heard it himself -- he'd be blown away. One of the BEST things she's ever done! I put both versions in my Ronstadt playlist. Thanks so much for uploading.
You welcome!
Enjoy!
;)
Amen to that, totally vegged out to this one.
I'm suprised that noone attempted to merge the Wilson vocal with hers, making a pseudo-duet. Taking the Sid Sharp string arrangement at the break and adding to this track would be ideal also.
the tempos are spot on so you can just boot up the beach boy take with just vocals and strings and play it another tab to this one...its quite beautiful
Well I tried, it sounds cool. But I already got a copyright warning, so it won't last long.

Good, but the original's greater.
Spellbinding!!! <3
wish she and Brian had done this as a duet.
