the reason the vídeo has such a retro feel to it is because it homages cinema from the 60's the credits at the beggining are pure Godard, specifically pierrot le fou. the color scheme is also pure 60's Godard, the red bike coming alive and the gang of alive bikes is a refference to the french film Le Ballon Rouge.

I love the 'retro look and sound' this music video has, it looks and sounds like something done in the 1980's, pretty cool.

Ronson's bike was a modified 1980's Raleigh Street Wolf, they were the coolest thing back in the day because of all the futuristic fake radar shit they had, but the girls were all dressed in 1960's gear, the age of cycling. I had a white Raleigh Vektar and all my mates loved it. Until it was stolen when I was 14 :/
