They are gonna be in Rushville, Indiana on Saturday August 16, 2014.  Small town with a an awesome venue for free music!

They were friendly gents. Worked hard to get a great power pop sound. Detroit Rock City.

I saw them with Adam Ant in Rockford, my first concert when I was 11. Damn, I went through puberty with the Romantics...you got me where you want me! Awesome song. Love their music to this day - please come to Chicago!

I saw the Romantics open for Adam Ant way back in '82 or so.  It was an honor.  These songs are gold and delivered in a fashion that was ahead of it;'s time....The Romantics were so far ahead of their  time that they were reduced to a foot note in R and R history.  But those of us that truly know who the kingpins were in this game can appreciate them....past AND present.  Bring it out on the road boys.......we'll be there.

must be a nostalgic thing because they definitely are not one of the best rock bands ever...not even close really.

They ain't The Beatles, but they had a great sound. Solid Power Pop that borrows from the sounds of previous generations (The Kinks, Eddie Cochran). They had a bunch of killer rave-ups. This is one. If you can't get into it, that's unfortunate. When they're at their best, they're a blast.

I saw the Romantics twice in the 80's; each time the place blew up into everyone dancing like we were all in a mad musical--even me, and I'm one of the most morose s.o.b.s that ever lived. Best rock band ever! .
