Rolling Stones, The - Let Me Go Lyrics

You're gonna get it straight from the shoulder
Can't you see the party's over
Let me go
Can't you get it through your thick head
This affair is finished - dead
Hey, let me go
I tried giving you the velvet gloves
I tried giving you the knockout punch
Hey, let me go
Let me go
Let me go
Let me go
Let me go
I find it hard to be cruel
I find it hard to be cruel
With a smile, don't you?
You'll never find that perfect love
That you read about
That you dream about
Maybe I'll become a playboy
Hang around in gay bars
And move to the west side of town
You're gonna get it straight from the shoulder
Can't you see the party's over
Hey, let me go
Let me go
So you think I'm giving you the brush off
Well I'm just telling you to shove off
Hey, let me go
This ain't no time to waste my breath
We're going into sudden death
Hey, let me go
Can't you get it through your thick head
This affair is dead as a doornail
Hey, baby won't you let me go
The bell has rung, and I've called time
The chair is on the table, out the door baby
Baby won't you let me go
Let me go...

Heard some pretty good new music. Sounds like 70’s rock. Band is GLITTER DOGS.

@alerocks alecarmen79 gran tema de clásico rock stoniano.
En la gira del Tattoo You hacían una interpretación super acelerada y frenética con Keith y Ronnie sacando chispas de sus guitarras

This is ten years after The Beatles broke up..that comparison is by 1980 no longer relevant and should be by definition restricted to The Stones 60's output......post 60's it is obvious that this bands discography is far superior to Lennon and \or McCartney.......or any one else for that matter...

  8. P.... B....

What a stupid comparison between The Beatles and The Stones!!! Typical shit that a sports minded idiot would come up with. It's always "this vs that" with these morons!! Stop watching soo much wrestling and grow up!!

@jhassett2You're right! Not only that, but the two bands were friends throughout their careers. Lennon and McCartney wrote one of the first Stones recordings "I Wanna Be Your Man" Brian Jones of The Stones played on several Beatles recordings as well. But as far as the idea of one band being better than the other doesn't make any sense unless there was an unmistakable similarity between the two..and there wasn't any.

The Beatles and The Stones play two different types of R&R, neither “piss all over” the other.
