Rolling Stones, The - Everybody Needs Somebody To Love Lyrics

I'm so glad to be here tonight and I'm so glad to be home. And I believe I've got a message for every woman and every man here tonight that ever needed somebody to love. Someone to stay with them all the time, when they're up and when they're down. You know, sometimes you get what you want, and then you go and lose what you have. And I believe every woman and every man here tonight listen to my song and it save the whole world. Listen to me.

Everybody wants somebody
Everybody wants somebody to love
Someone to love
Someone to kiss
Sometime to miss, now
Someone to squeeze
Someone to please
And I need you you you
I need you you you
I need you you you
I need you you you
Oh, sometimes I feel like
I feel a little sad inside
My baby mistreats me
And I kinda get a little little mad
I need you you you
To see me through, babe
When the sun go down
Ain't nobody else around
That's when I need you baby
That's when I say I love you
That's when I say I love you
Let me hear you say yeah
Let me hear you say yeah
Let me hear you say yeah
Let me hear you say yeah
I need you you you you
Somebody to see me through, baby
I need you you you
I need you you you
I need you you you
When the sun goes down
Ain't nobody else around
That's when I'm all by myself
That's when I need your lovin' darlin'
That's when I need you so bad
You're the one I really need bad [???]
I need you
To see me through baby
In the morning time too
When the sun goes down
Ain't nobody else around
I need your lovin' so bad
Everybody needs somebody to love
I'm not afraid to be by myself but I just need to be somebody to love
All the time
All the time
All the time
All the time
All the time, babe
I said all the time, babe
I said all the time, babe
I need you
I need your lovin' so bad
Let me hear you say yeah
Let me hear you say yeah
Let me hear you say yeah, yeah, yeah
Let me hear you say yeah
Uh, huh, huh, huh
Uh huh, huh huh huh
Yeah, I need you baby so bad bad bad, bad bad, bad bad bad bad
I need you
I need you you you
I need your lovin' babe
I need your lovin' darlin'
Everybody needs somebody
Everybody needs somebody
Everybody needs somebody
[repeat and ad lib]

Burke's version charted in 1964, but missed the US top 40, peaking at number 58...https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Everybody_Needs_Somebody_to_Love

    - Lead Vocal: Mick Jagger
    - Electric Guitars: Brian Jones & Keith Richards
    - Bass: Bill Wyman
    - Drums: Charlie Watts
    - Piano: Ian Stewart
    - Tambourine: Brian Jones
    - Background Vocals: Mick Jagger, Keith Richards & Bill Wyman

    J.... C....

This is so funky . Over 10 years before Miss You . Bill and Charlie ,
so tight . I think it sounds like Brian is playing bottle neck slide on
his solo . Those really high notes . I could be wrong . He played
slide on Little Red Rooster . Bill said in his memoirs that Brian was
the first guy to record electric bottle neck slide in the UK .

    J.... C....

And it's true! He was the first!....and surely the best!
I think he doesn't play bottleneck slide here. He does in "Little Red Rooster" and "I Can't Be Satisfied", two brilliant examples of his mastery on this technique.

    J.... C....

@José Candal Hi Jos'e , sorry , I can't get the apostrophe in the right place . Yes , you are right , no slide guitar here .
Brian's best was on No Expectations , from Beggars Banquet . Mick said that he ( Brian ) did very little on that album ,
but came up with that beautiful cameo of wonderful acoustic slide .

    J.... C....

    @Paul Fuller it doesn't matter :-)
Yeah, "No Expectations" was Brian's last great contribution to The Rolling Stones music.
    Wonderful acoustic slide guitar.

  25. f.... p....

The "short" version, is just an outtake, issued by error in " The Rolling Stones now" in the states. In another words, this one is the only version that matters.

    f.... p....

Agreed... In 1965, I ran all over town in L.A. trying to find this British Decca pressing because this track was vastly superior to the crappy version on the US LP... Still have it today in excellent condition...

Well it's just a cover, look up Solomon Burke and Wilson Pickett.

    M.... W....

MiCawber 72 It May be a cover, but it’s a good one. The Stones had a lot of hits with covers back then.

    M.... W....

    @Robert Weingartner
I know, I'm one hell of a Stones fan myself. In fact, I became a Stones fan because of their versions of Around And Around and Not Fade Away.
