Roger Miller - Wanda Iguana Lyrics

Wanda Iguana and Tommy the Toad
They got together and went on the road
And they sang the songs of the heart and the land
And they had a pretty good band

And they played tootle it

Larry the Lizard and Lou Ladybug
Cute as a button and cutting a rug
And forming a circle and dancing around
They laughed so hard they both fell down

But they went

Bonny the Bluejay and his dad and mom
Flew two hundred miles to see Wanda and Tom
And they couldn't get close enough to even see the band
They turned around and didn't even land

But they heard

He looks like he's been toking on something. Especially at the end of the video lol!

    C.... M....

He was known throughout his life as having a great sense of humor and a lighthearted outlook. Even as a kid, when his life was very difficult, he displayed a love for all things funny. :)

i wish i had appreciated rodger before he past, but i was young and filled with piss and vinegar too busy and stupid to appreciate a person of such talent, though i loved his songs from childhood (my dad's 8 tracks he left behind) but i didn't get to know him as a performer till you tube now i have a special attachment to his music and his performances.. I think he represents that which was good and uncorrupted by by the era that he passed through.. Right now im 53 and it is a dam shame that he was taken away at such a early stage he was still relevant and i hope new people find him and get the same warm felling from his performances i do ..cheers and best wishes to all

i grew up listening to his music via record player back in the 80's and 90's. always loved his music but never could miss the notes of sadness and making light depression, alcoholism and just being a flawed human being. i learned a lot from him at an early age.
i never met him, not related to him in any way but i always felt like he was a long lost uncle.

I loved the Muppet Show! I have memories as a small child, swinging on my little blue swing set in the backyard and singing “Dang Me” and “King of the Road.” I loved Roger Miller in Robin Hood and enjoyed sharing that movie with my children-they loved it too! RIP Roger Miller! ❤️❤️❤️❤️You made so many happy with your music.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Roger Miller was a weirdo. Just listen to these nonsensical lyrics. That's what made him a good match for the Muppets.
