This was the album that did it for me when I was 15. Loved him ever since!

Listen to Rodders on Truth, with the Jeff Beck Band, made in 1969, and follow him through his albums at least up to when he sang Maggie May, from Every Picture Tells a Story, (a 'B' side when it was first released in '72?), and then say, again, he was just a one hit wonder, never to release another song.

God I love this band and this song. I used to dance my ass off when no one was home and my kids were outside playin. Rod Stewart kicks ass!. I've always loved him especeally with Faces.. This is one of the best albu;ms I ever bought.

Freshman in college, 1974, when my Navajo roommate played this in our dorm room. This song through me into a state I never wanted to recover from. I still go into that state when I listen today. He also got me into Redbone, a native American rock group back then. Thanks Ron Yazzie!

I remember this from days long ago, a great song indeed. Yes Rod was once a rock n' roller and the Faces a good rock band. But this is a solo effort?

Ron Wood was on every track and all of the Faces were on at least some tracks. All his first three albums seem to be Faces albums my view and nothing since that time has been worth listening. He lost some essential component of himself when he made the Atlantic crossing and became a Las Vegas act, in essence.

@Grant Hurlburt Yeah, I saw him in 1979 in New Zealand. Blondes have more fun tour. God bless him, I've never seen so many women in any one place in my life but it was a ways away from Faces.

One of my all time favorite songs from one of my all time favorite movie... Rocking Rod, now that would be a class act to see... He is amazing.....

high water mark for rock = guts, feelings, confidence, swagger, self-deprication, hobo, world traveller, renegade, rebel, innocence, humor...it's all here in spades. masterpiece!

It was a masterpiece album for sure and Rod's finest work. It had everything:, great guitars mixed with mandolin, great writing, a thumping rock beat, Rod's hoarse vocals.....just made for a classic album.

Impressive but what about 78 or wax cylinder? ;p Good thing I didn't have this on cassette, I would've broken it for sure from playing it so many times. Rod at his best!
