Robin Trower - Into The Flame Lyrics
One moment of madness
One leap into the flame
One moment of sadness
A fleeting glimpse, a lifetime’s pain
Now fate has cast its spell
One brief blinding vision
One cut against the grain
One brief fear of decision
So much to lose so much to gain
You tangled with the dice
You made your sacrifice in vain
Now fate has cast its spell
You’ve only got yourself to blame

Robin Trower Into The Flame Comments
not the first trower album I had, and was leary of anything past 1979 then, but was also blown away when I heard it. a fave today. we cant forget trower as one of them who helped keep blues alive, which he says is about all he ever listened to himself.
Only got yourself to blame....
Bad ass guitar playing!
This is one of many R/Ts that I've had the album cassette CD and some 8 tracks.
So. Bluesy
Great song!!!! I saw Robin Trower on this tour back in the day.
huge fans opinion .... His best album, nothing here that's not a gem
I hate Rolling Stone Magazine for various reasons but the fact that Trower is hardly mentioned is a prime reason to hate this magazine. Trower is too cool to ignore.
yes, that's been the been the problem with main streamisim. it's also why certain alternative scenes were started. you probably won't here them talk about anyone that wasn't considered a biggest name. many of the greatest musicians in the world are hanging around jazz clubs, whether a kid likes jazz or not.
great album from 1979, I wore it out
same here. Bridge of sighs and this one was my favs!
This Album is so much better than i remember it! of course it has been many years since i have listened to it. My Loss
I still have an original cassette!!!! 40 years later
This , along with Hendrix, Beck, Santana etc, was my musical birth!
Good sounds
Had this album a few years back ...my thanks
I wonder why great guitarist discussions never mention Trower? You hear Blackmoor, Bolin, Iommi, but not Trower
+Jim E
You're listening to the wrong discussions ... Cheers
This song made me a Trower fan for life. Bought Victims of the Fury when it came out when I was 15. Was skipping class and saw it in a store window and bought it without knowing who he was just liked the album cover and won on that bet. Saw him a few years later and didn't realize what huge guy he was size wise. Offered to pay my wife's way in but she had other plans. Her loss...
