Robert Palmer - TV Dinners Lyrics
TV dinners…there’s nothin’ else to eat
TV dinners…they really can’t be beat
I like ‘em frozen, but you understand
I throw ‘em in and ‘wave ‘em and I’m a brand new man
TV dinners…they’re goin’ to my head
TV dinners…my skin is turning red
Twenty-year-old turkey in a thirty-year-old tin
I can’t wait ‘til tomorrow to thaw one out again
Oh, yeah…
In the night, oh my…
And they sure look fine…
TV dinners…feelin’ kinda rough
TV dinners…this one’s kinda tough
I like the enchiladas and the teriyaki, too
I even like the chicken…if the sauce is not too blue
In the night, oh, my
And they sure look fine…

He was pure talent and class ❤️

Leave it to an Englishman with great taste to cover a ZZ Top song.
RIP Robert...gone from us way too soon.
He was born in Malta BUDD
OPPS..................
@Paul Williams He was born in Batley in Yorkshire, England. His father was in the Royal Navy and they moved to Malta when Robert Palmer was quite young. He was influenced musically in Malta from listening to the US Armed Service Network. His family moved back to England when he was still quite young. I’ve read he was between 9 to 13 yo, depending on the source. Although he also lived in NYC and the Bahamas, he regarded himself as British.
.... damn them some fine S shoes bobs got on... cried like a babe when i got the news wish i could have met him
Still looking dapper and handsome, Mr P. Lovely to see you again. Wish we could have heard those new tracks and directions that you had planned for later in 2003....Otis Redding material would have been incredible. Miss you.
