Robbins, Marty - The Sea And Me Lyrics
The sea and me kees lonely company
The tides have come and gone just like your love for me
The tradewinds say that you'll come back someday
I think there's solitude they held take you away
Where we get our secret randezvous
The brakers play on coral sands that say
We'll bring her home again the wind the sea and me
Gone are the moments on dark sandy beaches
Where we get our secret randezvous
The brakers play on coral sands that say
We'll bring her home again the wind the sea and me

Is there a recording of this and Beyond the Reef available anywhere?
With the sound systems and mics they had in this time era, it shows just how talented these guys were. This is priceless stuff folks!
Actually, mic technology has changed little since they were invented. It was everything else that was terrible in sound quality- speakers, radio, gramma phones, etc. Now that they can digitize the old master discs without playing them, we can hear the extraordinary quality of those old mics. That's why all of those old Neumanns and the like are so desired by recording studios.
I use a condenser mic built by Ear Trumpet labs. Cosmetically it looks vintage, but the patterns and large diaphragm make it great in the studio.
This song is so underrated. It's an absolute classic and so beautiful.
Fantastic song, mahalo Basil!
Brilliant
not a good link. I have it in G at Bm C#7, Am B7, Gm A7 Am7 D7
WOW, incredible. No voice like this exists today. WHat a gem thank you SO SO much for posting.
This song is amazing. Similar to Beyond the Reef but that bridge is just too cool.
