Robbins, Marty - I'll Walk Alone Lyrics
I'll walk alone because
To tell you the truth, I'll be lonely
I don't mind being lonely
When my heart tells me you are lonely too
And I'll tell them I'd rather
There are dreams I must gather
Dreams we fashioned one night you held me tight
I'll always be near you wherever you are
Each night, in every prayer
If you call I'll hear you, no matter how far
Just close your eyes and I'll be there
Please walk alone and send your love
'Til you're walking beside me
I'll walk alone
I'll always be near you wherever you are
Each night, in every prayer
If you call I'll hear you, no matter how far
Just close your eyes and I'll be there
Please walk alone and send your love
And your kisses to guide me
'Til you're walking beside me
I'll walk alone

Butiful singer Mr el paso
Sounds ALOT like ELVIS on so many of his songs especially this one
Absolutely beautiful, music, song, and that awesome voice!
1968 was a great year for Marty and me! Just love his voice and his music.
Great. Song 🗒🗒
This is a good drinking song. He makes loneliness feel so real you need comforted. What a voice.
Head-on collision between country and blues

Goliath David----You must be a sad depressed little SHIT......................
Loosen up a little & enjoy life.
There is not a song i don't like of Marty Robbins. Best ever
I think that Marty Robbins was every bit as good as Elvis was don't get me wrong Elvis had a really good voice but I think Mark he had nothing on Marty I don't know I really believe that Elvis didn't have anything on Marty as far as singing or performance I mean I was probably got into his performances a lot more and moved a lot more, but singing wise and talent talent on singing there's no way I think Marty Robbins wasn't even better singer than Elvis
Wow, One of the greatest!
Will make chills run up & down

The definitive country song. Up there with I'm so lonesome I could cry
All Time Best (original) Country Music
I can't even listen to modern country music with it's fake twang. this is real country music.
Simply the best thats marty just love him
I love to watch & listen to Marty's son Ronny as I see reflections of him in the son. Amazing.. Ronny has his dads smile, his gestures and of course voice..
I hope everybody in this advertisement I had to watch gets brutally raped for the rest of their lives and none of them ever have a single happy day as long as they live. I hope every day for them is miserable and pray that the people at YouTube who thought ads were a good idea also get the same.
One of the greatest voices of all time!
One of the greatest voices of all time!
One of the greatest voices of all time!

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE MARTY ROBBINS SONG???
My Favorite Marty Robbins Song Would Have To Be... "EL PASO CITY" and "RIBBON OF DARKNESS"
(To be honest it is very difficult for me to just name one or two, I also like " Devil Woman" " Carmen" and "Story of My Life")
Marty Robbins has to be placed within the "Top 6" when it comes to the greatest voices in Country Music History...
1)Marty Robbins... 2)Merle Haggard... 3)Willie Nelson... 4)George Jones... 5)Johnny Cash... 6)Conway Twitty...
Marty Robbins has such a beautiful voice and when I listen to him singing, it brings me to a whole other place in my mind...
Marty Robbins has never been replaced or duplicated, he sings from his soul and with great spirit... One of the best ever!
maybe top 6 MALE but overall country voice has to go to one and only patsy cline.
now that i think about it, i did'nt see jack greene on the list. better voice than conway twitty. hard to make a list like this.
Uhhh how you gonna forget Hank Williams 🙄
No one had a better voice than Conway Twitty. BTY he had more Number # ones than all your list put together. You also can move Johnny Cash to about # 15!
@ Joseph Henry you left out one of the biggest main player in country music E. P. Aain the early days he was into Country &Western as well as Gospel, the "Sun" years . . & you have Hank Williams, Conway Twitty etc.
beautiful song
amazing
MARTY ROBBINS TEXAS HERO
Marty robens
so so sweet
ONE OF MY FAVORITES
nice blues
what a guy
He may have walked alone, but he sang for everyone....
His music is so. Wonderful
He was golden, not just his voice, and is deeply missed. His music lives on. Today's country music just doesn't capture what he did.
Tarquin45,
Great s ong, great singer, versatile human being! A true original. This song made my day! Thank you for posting and boy does he hold those notes!
GP
Only he could do this song the way it should be done.
When you listen to songs like this, you know why he was named "Mr. Teardrops".....
Love it

So good, superb voice, I love this song.
so so good!!!! thank you ...
Oh Wow...this is great.
Growing up and only hearing a brief little snippet of this song from the K-Tel "Midnight In Memphis" commercial, I had no idea that there was more to this song.
But I guess I should have believed the announcer when he said " But Wait...There's More!"
But....didn't believe him. In fact, I figured this was a Roy Orbison song as well.
My idol
Marty Robbins had THE most beautiful voice another one who died too soon. Plus he was a nice man, you never heard one bad thing about him.
Florida45Gal
,
So why God took him away ...sad
The Man really loved to sing and COULD!
Marty Robbins was or is the greatest. I saw him in concert what a show.

Gordon Lightfoot ' wrote ' this song according to his list of credits .. Great work . . .regardless . . .! !
eddie Arnold was singing this in the 50s to my understanding. You sure?
This is a great version of an old Eddy Arnold song,Marty takes it to a higher level
Thanks
Great voice one of the best
LOVE MARTY ROBBINS AND AND HIS SONGS
I love this song and the story that is told. This is real country music and as bad as I hate to say it, this music is gone. There are a few of the old timers left, but will never get radio time over any of the new generation of singers.
Jamie Grant ya and it's bullshit, alot of today's country is popy bullcrap! I don't even try to listen to radio anymore.
Sturgill Simpson
you are right - these "country " music singers, can't hold a candle to him.
Jamie Grant you are so right! I have to travel about 45o miles to Nashville to find it. Still you have to look for it there. Tom Buller is a great traditional singer. He plays at Layla’s on Broadway! A Keith Whitley, George Jones and Merle Haggard type singer. I’m a young 69 ( so my friends say) . So I came up in the hay day of music!
I love this song and the story that is told. This is real country music and as bad as I hate to say it, this music is gone. There are a few of the old timers left, but will never get radio time over any of the new generation of singers.
I walk alone.
~ Still ~
Heavenly, I must say thankyou
one of a kind, we love you
Nice album Tarquin45.
Not 'one of the greatest', but actually the greatest ever singer ever associated with Country music and all the other styles he also sang.
I agree
THE BEST BEST EVER SINGER, Miss his voice so much.
Marty Robbins one of the gyeat country singer.
Don't know who the six people are who didn't like this..
Maybe they were joking, can't believe anyone would not like this if they love music.
Awesome voice. Thank you for posting this song.
no one can sing like he did....what a loss....this was real talent and he was a vet of
WW II....not like the trash we have to hear now-a-days. He was not a rapper thug.
OH MY MY MY what a song
My apologies. Didn't intend to get you riled. :-)
Sorry my quick spelling bothered you, I am sorry, can you please forgive a sinner like myself? I hope for me you can.
Or you could say Speechless
