@Russell White Louis Armstrong did not write mack the knife. It was originally composed by Kurt Weill with Bertolt Brecht as the lyricist for the german play The Threepenny Opera.

I would like to notice that Robbie was wrong putting the pictures of the Rat Pack while he sang this one in Bobby Darin´s style. Sinatra himself said that Bobby´s one was the final version of this old 1920´s German song. Frank only recorded this one in 1984. I love the Rat Pack, love this version too... but we ust be fair with the big Bobby Darin and what he did, unfortunately he left us pretty soon before his 40s in 1973. You can check it in "Beyond the Sea", 2004 Kevin Spacey film about his life :)

Sinatra recorded Mack the Knife 3 times. 1984, a remake in 1986 that replaced the 1984 one in the LA is My Lady album, and the definitive 1994 version with Jimmy Buffet in Duets.

What a fantastic arrangement this is. It's not easy to write and arrange music for jazz orchestra, that takes lots of skill and practice … I'm writing arrangements for jazz ensembles too, but this one is on a whole different level IMO. That's simply great quality music and a stunning performance.

I assume the time signature might be 2/2 at the beginning, halfnote being around 80-90bpm.
