Ringo Starr - You've Got A Nice Way Lyrics
Wasn't too long ago i was dying of an empty heart,
When you get lonely, gets so easy to fall apart.
Staying up all night,
Looking for trouble soon as it would start,
Then there was you there, lovin' me,
You got a nice way of believin' in me,
You got a nice way of tellin' me so, so i know.
You got a nice way of believin' in me,
You got a nice way, let me know, so i know.
Being' in love with you
Is like growing up into a child,
All you gotta do is look at me,
Nothin' i can do but smile.
Now i can see for miles,
Baby, you saved me, lovin' me,
Will you stay for a while?
You got a nice way of believin' in me,
You got a nice way of tellin' me so, so i know.
You got a nice way of believin' in me,
You got a nice way, tell me so, so i know.
Tell me you love me, baby, tell me once again.
Baby, it's good this lovin' you,
Knowin' that you're my friend.
You got a nice way of believin' in me,
You got a nice way of tellin' me so, so i know.
You got a nice way of believin' in me,
You got a nice way of tellin' me so, so i know.
(you got a nice way)
(you got a nice way of tellin' me so, so i know)
(you got a nice way)
(you got a nice way)
(you got a nice way)

Ronnie Wood play on this?
David Roberts: thanks.
Viva Sir Ringo !!!!!!!!
?Stephen Stills song?
This fit right in with the times...This was a great album...George Harrison had the album "Gone Troppo"...another great one with the same sound...awesome.
When I was a kid I had this on cassette along with George's "Somewhere in England" album now I have them both on vinyl.
It is an acquired taste for sure, I freely admit. It was 1978 when I was hugely into John at 11 yrs old. So, listening to "Sometime In N.Y.C", it was too annoying to skip the tracks, so I became used to her vocals and after what happened in 1980, "Season Of Glass" was an lp I held close to. I had -almost- the same experience getn into Bob Dylan's vocals after picking up "Slow Train Coming". Thanks for handling the Yoko thing with class.
You picked up Yoko's albums? Wow. From a musical standpoint, she's definitely an acquired taste.
"Fill In The Blanks" is probably Ringo's best tune of late. The drum fill intro is perfect, Ringo's vocals are spot on & Joe's guitar sounds awesome. In ref to being laughed at, well, I was surprisingly never treated that way even when I was picking up Mrs. Lennon's lps such as "Season Of Glass" lp or "Starpeace" (1985). Now I can purchase the new Ono lp from home. Personally, I'd rather enjoy the excitement of putting in a little effort going to a record store to get it.
In fact, on Ringo's "Y Not" album that I mentioned before there's a great song called "Fill In The Blanks" that Walsh and Ringo did together. You mentioned the lack of fan support for "Stop" and "Old Wave." In the early 80's when those albums were made Ringo's popularity was very low. I can attest to that fact. I remember being in a record store (remember record stores?) and having a couple of guys laugh at me because I was flipping through Ringo's albums.
To my ears, Mark Hudson was too much of a Beatle-centric producer. In other words, he worships the Beatles like Jeff Lynne and a gazillion other people do. I can understand that. But I felt that too much of the music Ringo made with Mark paid excessive attention to Ringo's Beatle past at the expense of his own musical identity. And being a big Joe Walsh fan, I definitely agree that Ringo working with Walsh is always a good idea.
The music made with Mark is pretty solid, songs like "Hard To Be True" and "Turnaround" are really good. It's just that Mark seemed to be too much of a presence in the Ringo world. No, if we can agree that Ringo working with Joe Walsh is always a good idea... "Old Wave" was an overlooked lp and it surprised me that there was no fan support for that lp and the "Stop..." lp.
Not tough for me. I've always thought the "Ringo" album was his best. Although I must say that I was impressed with his album "Y Not." That came out in 2010. Of his more recent albums, I like that one the best. I never cared for the the stuff he did with Mark Hudson.
It's tough to pick one lp of Ringo's to call his best. "Stop & Smell The Roses" has some sentimentality and would have been very interesting if John's "Nobody Told Me" was actually recorded by Ringo as the leadoff track.
Really? That's news to me.
Disagree. I still think the "Ringo" album from 1973 is his best.

Can tell the Stills influence. Ringo and Stephen have been playing together for years.
