Ringo Starr - Money Lyrics
The best things in life are free
But you can keep them for the birds and bees
Now, give me money (That's what I want)
That's what I want (That's what I want)
That's what I want
Your lovin' gives me a thrill
But your lovin' don't pay my bills
Now, give me money (That's what I want)
That's what I want (That's what I want)
That's what I want (That's what I want)
That's what I want
But what it don't get, I can't use
Now, give me money (That's what I want)
That's what I want (That's what I want)
That's what I want (That's what I want)
That's what I want
Money don't get everything, it's true
But what it don't get, I can't use
Now, give me money (That's what I want)
That's what I want (That's what I want)
That's what I want (That's what I want)
That's what I want
You give me money (That's what I want)
Whole lot of money (That's what I want)
Yeah, give me money (That's what I want)
Give me lots of money, baby (That's what I want)
That's what I want (That's what I want)
That's what I want
Yeah, give me money, baby (That's what I want)
Gotta give me lots of money, baby (That's what I want)
Give me money (That's what I want)
I said, money (That's what I want)
That's what I want (That's what I want)
That's what I want

Ringo Starr Money Comments
Omg I love that u did this again! But, one thing... Autotune! You are so great as it is, you don’t need it! You are like my idol! My cat is named after you lol!!! You don’t need autotune to sing great, but honestly, this is still super awesome! Love you!!!❤️💜👌🏻☮️✌🏼 peace and love!!!
Ringo, release your own renditions of the "Star Club" songs on a double album that will sell like hot cakes!!!!!
god bless america
When I was a small lad, a group called the Beatles recorded this song. It's wonderful hearing a Beatle do it again. Thank you!
why I'm listening to ringo starr?
NOO AUTOTUNE i'm sad sorry but i hate autotune😐
the autotune is very disgusting
terrible...
Its Ringo! And Its AMAZING!!
Sensacional!
The three of them sang this after the Beatles except George because he didn't care about money. George was the least materialistic. Ringo is probably the most materialistic.
the start of this sounds like the flying lizards version minus the za za accents the Beatles did a way better version
I’m sorry, the auto tune doesn’t leave it “just okay,” it completely ruins it.
Ringo excelente. Genial. Gracias.
Disco Ringo..Love it!
Ringo, please leave autotune to the kids.
Fucking Great
Being an ex-Beatle doesn’t excuse this
You gotta admit, it's certainly a different take on an old classic.. Lary
This is what we get after John got shot
Fab four, forever
This is hilarious
First Paul, now Ringo using Autotune. Stop. Just stop.
Is everyone deaf? This is HORRIBLE. I mean, I think Ringo's great and everything, but come ON!
It's the worst song on the album and probably the worst song he's recorded in the past 10 years, but it's hardly horrible. It's bad, but still worth a listen every now and then
@Gondarth "It's bad, but still worth a listen now and then...". None of us know the day we are going to die. It could be tomorrow. It could be in twenty or thirty years from now. In neither case could I justify spending any more time listening to this.
I’m a hardcore Beatles fan and I try not to ever say anything bad about the either one of the beatles... but this sucks
Haha! The auto tune sounds like Ringo coded it himself.
OMG! He has forgotten his name, he has forgotton that he is the richest drummer in the world. What's next? Gotta Get Up To Get Down? Peas and laugh, Sir, peas and laugh.
Money · Ringo Starr cool song
I like it. Who cares about the auto tune, just another way to do a song.
I would have liked it better without the autotune, vocoder or whatever it is. He doesn't need to sound like some talentless millennial singer of today.
Right click on the video onto 'Loop'
Good treatment of an old classic.
Great tune to cover think this album is great John would like it for sure...
Now no one will walk out on him, because he won't sing out of tune
Ringo sounds so weird with auto tune, he is already tuned!
Damn, this is really, really bad.
Legal rigão mais não em skskks. Só penso na voz do John nessa canção.
There is literally no actual way he sounds exactly like half century before
Peace and love, Ringo but this is not you.
Horrible....overkill on the auto tune
I'm 28 and ringo is less bald than me. Haha
John Lennon, I miss you very much and I wish you had been around to celebrate Knighthood with Paul and Ringo!
what about george?
sounds like ViennaCC ...https://www.youtube.com/user/viennacc
I ain't mad...
Modern Day "Money (That's What I Want)"...
This song is the biggest piece of crap Ringo has recorded in the past 10 or so years. Every time I listen to it, I cringe and think, "Too much autotune, Rich. Way too much..."
At the same time, I love listening to this track because the chorus is still catchy. It's terrible, but somehow it's still remarkably enjoyable.
Great sound Ringo does a excellent song
This is awful
autotune
Hmm.... interesting cover
Just bad. Sorry.
It is terrible. Don't be sorry for telling it like it is.
Damn this is terrible
Beatle fan..Ringo I love the way you did this song..you will always be so precious to me. Peace ✌️ & love 💕
Is that Ringo or R2D2?
Autotune spoils his voice instead of improving it!
I could have lived without the auto tune, But hell, it's Ringo and he can do what he wants, and he wants money, lol. I still like the song.
This is Beatles sound! Adore you, Ringo!
ringo went a bit too far with the auto tone but that’s ok. 😆
A takeoff of the Flying Lizards version.
Oh my goodness! This is amazing!!
Hopefully they release another version of this song with his natural voice and some other traditional effect like echo. The autotune vocal effect is annoying has hell. The music is great ..
Aw you're a robot now
I thought Auto with out with that Cher song. But dang it... Ringo even makes that sound cool . Rock on Ringo!
BEATLES YAY
Ringo loves money,
Nicely done
Not bad but i think he overdid it a bit with the autotune. His perception of Money (That's What I want) is interesting
Ringo star is even the best at rapping
Rapping? whend he rap
@Jerry Smith because rap songs these days have a lot of auto tune in it and in an interview about this album Ringo said "this will be the closest I get to rapping"
Sounds great... the Beatles pioneer sounds.. John ran his vocal through a Leslie speaker .. using auto tune is no big deal for them
Dennis Gurley That was ahead of their time back in the 60s. Auto tune has been around since the 90s and is mostly used by people that can't sing. Ringos voice probably is struggling since he's almost 80.
Scott Anders yes... I own and run a recording studio.. on this song the auto tune is extra heavy .. definitely trying to make the voice psychedelic... I just seen Ringo and his All Stars live... he sung very good.. he has never been the singer the other 3 were... but he sounded good live..
@Dennis Gurley Exactly! This is for an effect for style, we all know Ringo can still sing amazing.
Except for the auto tone , it sounds ok.
Following Paul’s steps with the autotune... 😆✌🏼
Rudolph Guarnacci Go back to your cave.
How tf is Paul ruining the Beatles legacy!? Maybe chipping away his own legacy, but its not like he even uses it heavily. You just sound like a John dickrider who believes that John hated and would criticize anything Paul does, so you do too. Not saying you are, but thats what it sounds like.
@Rudolph Guarnacci totally agree
@Jaime VilBar
Hi Jaime, glad you respect a person's opinion. Live a long life.
@Jerry Smith
Hmm, you are presuming that I am complaining of Paul's use of autotune. Okay.
Ringo using Autotune sounds weird. But i like it
ITS A VOCODER
@roman14032 In this case, no, it is not a vocoder. You can tell by the way it locks the pitch.
On 'Electricity' from his Give More Love album, that was a vocoder, but this isn't. It has a very different sound to it.
Many of his tracks from the past decade use this autotune filter, though to less of an extreme. Go listen to 'Touch and Go' off of his 2015 album - 'Postcards from Paradise'. It's fairly clear there.
Ringo never was as good a singer as let's say Paul McCartney, so expecting that at almost 80 he'd be able to jump notes that way (or even want to) is unreasonable.
@John Jelatis its a vocoder ringo mentioned it in an interview
roman14032 He might have used it elsewhere in the album, but I can recreate exactly this sound (I’ll upload a video if I must) using any generic auto-tune filter, that’s what he did. I can also upload a video of a vocoder, which he may have used on “Gotta Get Up To Get Down” and such, but this here definitely isn’t one (or if it is, it’s very subtle behind the auto tune he was playing with).
Go listen to Paul McCartney’s “Get Enough”/“Frank Sinatra’s Party” for an example of him messing with autotune.
It’s a fun effect, similar to reverb and such in the sense artists use it to help sing a lot at subtler settings, but here he is just playing with it, and I can imagine him having lots of fun with this in the studio.
@John Jelatis ok
