why do there have to be two drums?

It is hard for me to say this, but I think it may be the fact that he cannot interact with the audience as well if he is behind the drums the whole time. For most of his songs, he would usually just sing and have someone else play drums. I think he can still drum the way he can back then despite not being behind the drums most of the time, but the truth is, he has already done so much as a Beatle back then that he deserves someone else to play for him while he interacts with the audience closer on stage. We all know how much he has done for us. Now, we have to give him what he deserves. For now, I guess he will play drums for songs with fun drumbeat. Does that make sense?

Ringo can't play while he is interacting with the audience. It is impossible to play the drum set at
that performance level while giving all his attention to talking and singing and storytelling. I don't think the two drum sets take anything away from his wonderful playing. That's just what I think anyway.
