When u do a recording of a song written by former bandmate, and have Paul played on it, with part of George's song in it. It just goes to show that after all these years, they still love each other.

Always a huge Beatle fan, when they broke up I found Harrison's solo work the best. Paul was lost in Linda and after his first solo album, John was following others instead of leading. John's solo albums were simply bad and you could find tons of them in bargain bins. Then he dies and everyone goes crazy for his work. Really? This song isn't as good as Good Night, and Imagine isn't as good as Across the Universe. We simply have to be thankful for this attempt to add to the legacy but at some point, they should have come back together and made more and better music. Sadly, they listened to other selfish influences. This is what we have to cling to. It's nice to see how it's affected people in the notes below but it's a fleeting moment that should have been something more.

Ringo makes a great job of this. His vocal here is one of his best. I wouldn't have given this Lennon song 5 stars in any other context. But Ringo changes my mind. (Great to see John's handwriting on the screen).

I'm surprised John Lennon would write lyrics asking God's blessing for something. And musically, this song sounds to me more like Paul McCartney's style than John's. Still, I'm glad Ringo did it and I'm glad it has elements from all 4 Beatles. It is amazing how the Beatles still keep giving even though 2 of them are in the grave.
