Ringo Starr - Back Off Boogaloo (Re-Do) Lyrics

This one is called Back off, Boo-ga-loo

Back off, Boo-ga-loo
What d'yer think you're gonna do
I got a flash right from the start

Wake up, meat head
Don't pretend that you are dead
Get yourself up off the cart

Get yourself together now
And give me something tasty
Everything you try to do
You know it sure sound wasted

You think you're a groove
Standing there in your wallpapers shoes
And your socks that match your eyes

Back off, Boo-ga-loo, I said
Back off, Boo-ga-loo, come on
Back off, Boo-ga-loo, Boo

Get yourself together now
And give me something tasty
Everything you try to do
You know it sure sound wasted

Back off, Boo-ga-loo,
What d'yer think I'm gonna do
I got a flash right from the start

Back off, Boo-ga-loo, I said
Back off, Boo-ga-loo, come on
Back off, Boo-ga-loo, Boo

Back off, Boo-ga-loo, I said
Back off, Boo-ga-loo, come on
Back off, Boo-ga-loo, Boo

Get yourself together now
And give me something tasty
Everything you try to do
You know it sure sound wasted

Back off, Boo-ga-loo, I said
Back off, Boo-ga-loo, come on
Back off, Boo-ga-loo, Boo

Back off, Boo-ga-loo, I said
Back off, Boo-ga-loo, come on
Back off, Boo-ga-loo, Boo

Back off, Boo-ga-loo, I said
Back off, Boo-ga-loo, come on
Back off, Boo-ga-loo, Boo

    What's his name? Ringo

  19. r.... ....

This sequence would fit right into MMT

  20. M.... A....

is this a bigfoot video ?

  21. m.... l....

Some time ago I was informed Boogaloo was a nickname Ringo used to call Paul. True?

  22. B.... z....

This was the last time we saw Ringo's eyes

  23. M.... H....

I think all those music historians fail to remember ,that Ringo changed the way drummers played,, from 63 to ...today. ..from the jazz grip to the match stick hold ...plus HS drumming was always snare drum oriantaited... Brilliant Ringo ..

  24. D.... ....

Ringo was the real talent of The Beatles, no doubt!

  25. d.... m....

    Great drumming as usual

  26. A.... G....

This song is just me @ my old bullies lmao

  27. b.... ....

What’s with all the anti ringing crap? You got your pretentious and phony John, super ego maniac Paul, pouty cryboy George, then dingo, who was maybe just a commercial pop star but never tried or pretended to be anything else. And I usually wouldn’t post anything but if your gonna hate on one ex Beatle fit being inane or innocuous while trying to put the other three on a pedestal when they as solo artist were no better or different, it’s worth my two minutes and two cents.

  28. S.... D....

I heard this song was about Paul.

  29. P.... P....

Don't know which is scarier -- the Monster or Ringo's beard.

  30. 3.... m....

all these years I thought it said:Beat your wife and kids

  31. G.... D....

Back in the 70's , people were saying , that it was Harry Nilsson , playing "Frank.". True ?

    G.... D....

People let me tell ya bout my best friend.

    G.... D....

I thought maybe it was John. You're probably right.

  32. t.... ....

Sorry, but not anywhere near the same class as John, Paul or George. Its quite simplistic, and the arrangement by the other three breath some life into it.

  33. C.... ....

Can’t help but like Ringo but this was just awful.

  34. A.... Z....

    Boogaloo couldn't come sooner tbh

  35. N.... o....

Is that Mal Evans as 'The Monster'?

  36. Y.... I....

Sobs Sm why couldn’t he have shaved

  37. L.... C....

Instead of Frankenstein's monster it should've been Pete Best stalking Ringo. XD

  38. L.... W....

@ringostarr Brotha! This song still gets my toes tappin! Love ya Ringo!!

  39. T.... ....

Ringo is such a free spirit. Everyone else went super serious after the break up, apart from Ringo.
My guy basically goes, "begone thot" in 80s language.

    T.... ....

    One 0f the best

  40. J.... Z....

    Back off Bill.

  41. I.... l....

The monster kind of looks like John Lennon

    I.... l....

Lol. I guess I wasn't the only one.
Given how Symbolism plays into The Beatles lore..
In the beginning of The Yellow Submarine movie, Ringo goes to John's room. Lennon is Frankenstein, and then drinks a magic potion, and turns into himself.

  42. H.... d....

jammer dat je niet kan downloaden prachtige video

  43. H.... d....

    onbekende fout opgetreden

  44. D.... A....

    very GOOD DRUMMING Ringo!! :D

  45. k.... ....

Ringo drumming and George on slide. "FU John/Yoko and Paul, we don't need you anyway." RIngo if you're out there and read these comments- I hope you're still performing at 90!

  46. d.... ....

Who is the tall guy portraying Frankenstein’s Monster in this promo and was this shot at Tittenhurst?

    d.... ....

Yes it was. I've always wondered who it is too.

  47. G.... X....

    h.b ringo

  48. P.... R....

George's slide guitar is wonderful on this track

    P.... R....

george was the most melodic slide player ever.

  49. r.... h....

Google brought me here. They need to back off!

    r.... h....

    "Back off...Google-oo?"

  50. B.... A....

There is no Paul. There is no Paul. There is no Paul. There is no Paul. There is no Paul. There is no Paul. There is no Paul. There is no Paul. There is no Paul. There is no Paul. There is no Paul.

  54. G.... B....

George Harrison’s slide guitar is what makes this record!

    G.... B....

I've always loved George's slide guitar playing on Lennon's
    "How Do you Sleep"?

    J.... L....

Um, having fun? Sounds like a good idea. And the song's a million times better than that shitty song, "Let 'em In," by that other one. What was his name?

  59. .... ....

Долгих лет и творческих побед, дорогой Ринго!

  60. F.... F....

Why don't we do it in the road?

  61. R.... M....

I'm not buying the notion that this is about Paul.

  62. g.... ....

John: The one mistake you made was in your head
Paul: You took your lucky break and broke it in two
George: No one around you will carry the blame for you
    Ringo: bAcK oFf bOoGaLoO

  63. E.... N....

Sabían que George Harrison hizo el solo de guitarra en este tema

    E.... N....

Y sí, su estilo es facilmente distinguible.
De hecho, él produjo esta canción.

  64. F.... L....

Ringo let's of steam about Faul ?

  75. I.... L....

    Weird video but nice song

  76. k.... m....

    Wow that was brutal

  77. E.... ....

Ringo was the most creative, innovative and inventive drummer in the 60's. To me, hes without doubt the best drummer of that decade (in pop and rock music). Listen to his playing at the Washington coliseum in 64, specially in long tall sally and roll over beethoven. Listen to his playing in the sgt peppers, white album and abbey road too. It will blow your mind. I love his playing in im gonna sit right down and cry, some other guy, twist and shout, while my guitar gently weeps, "long, long, long", strawberry fields, i me mine, i want you, come together, something...so many songs.

  78. W.... R....

Muito bom! Very Nice!! Thank's for vídeo Ringo!

  79. b.... r....

It looked cute Ringo running to Frankenstein, hugging him, and then dancing with him

    b.... r....

Yep. Ringo and Faul are STILL gigging together. And now Ringo has been knighted too! Sir Ringo!

  80. T.... ....

    GROOVY♫

  81. J.... R....

The sexual tension between Ringo and Frankenstein tho.

    J.... R....

    Palpable.

    J.... R....

    J.... R....

Kevin Oscar you have no sense of humor

    J.... R....

    J.... R....

  82. m.... ....

  83. L.... ....

Does anyone know who is portraying Frankenstein?
    I love Ringo. ♥

    L.... ....

Looks like Denny Laine from Wings

    L.... ....

    Or Michael Palin

  84. J.... S....

Crescent City Ca people need to......BACK OFF!!!

  85. M.... f....

2:35 ITS AN ILLUMINATI IN DA BOX

  86. R.... S....

Inspired by TRex but the subject is Paul. Listen to the lyrics - has much of the same sentiment as John's How Do You Sleep and George contributes a vicious slide to both songs. Ringo, like the other two, were being sued by Paul at the time.

  87. D.... K....

This song was directed at Paul, post-Beatles.........Paul was being  hammered by critics for poor albums like Wildlife, Red Rose Speedway in the early going... thus the lyrics that go " wake up, meat head...don't pretend that you are dead"  and " get yourself together now and give me something tasty" .... Ringo's  prodding of Paul for his output was less harsh than John's lyric " The only thing you done was 'Yesterday'...and since youre gone youre just 'Another Day' " ....a slam at Paul's weak single of the same name out at that time.   1971-72

  88. R.... R....

The button/pin Ringo is wearing says, "Back to mono." The Beatles regarded the monophonic versions of their records to be much more desirable than stereo. Much more time was dedicated to the mono mixes of their records. The Beatles themselves rarely attended stereo mix sessions. Regarding the stereo versions of their music, George Harrison said that The Beatles thought it ruined the records, citing being at someone's house (maybe Paul's) and listening to a stereo version of their record through one speaker (mono) and not being able to hear the vocal, which would have been coming out of one stereo channel, not both.

  89. S.... R....

    Happy Halloween....2018

  90. M.... ....

    Top nummer van Ringo!👍👍👍❤👌😂😎✨✨

  91. J.... ....

This was mostly about the argument Ringo had with Paul over the release dates of "McCartney" vs "Let It Be."

  92. M.... ....

    Ahhh the 70s

  93. T.... ....

    Best one

  94. T.... C....

    Love You Ringo <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

  95. H.... G....

John: I wonder what world peace would be like?
Paul: You can't handle your problems on your own. Let your friends help you.
George: I think that the following of any religion can be considered the pursuit of God.
    Ringo: BEGONE THOT!

    H.... G....

John's solution would communism as shown in imagine but I think Ringo's is easily the most effective method to solve all the world's problems

  96. M.... L....

is this Ringo saying back off Faul while dressed up as a made up Frankenstein, subliminal just

    M.... L....

I think you are correct. He is being stalked by the fabricated monster who was "dead" as the song says. They finally meet up and take a look at the skeletons in the closet, then they look at the box with King Kong both afraid of something. Ringo is trying to say to Faul, Back off, and they both seem to have dread of each other, and finally get along---then sort of go their ways.
