You know who else did a great cover of this song? Stuart Damon who played Dr. Alan Quartermaine on General Hospital. He recorded it for an album called Love In The Afternoon. The singers on it are all from the ABC soaps that used to dominate everybody's afternoons.

Over the years I have went to 12 LeAnn Rimes Concerts,and have never been disappointed. Along with her fantastic voice her stage presents makes her Concerts extremely enjoyable. In 2011 a friend and I drove 722 miles from Lou., Ky to Omaha to attend three of her concerts. We had front row center stage seats for all three concerts. I had a shirt made up saying "I drove 722 miles to see LeAnn Rimes, she saw the shirt and came to the front of the stage were I had drove from, we had about a 40 second chat and she thanked me for being such a devoted fan. Seeing LeAnn three days in a row was well worth the trip.

+Foeke Wijnia I don't believe I'd drive that far again, but at the time it was a fun trip. Your response just blows me away, being able to send and get comments from people across the World is really something. I find that YouTube to be a form of relaxation  and fun. You can go back to any generation and pull up the great singers/performers  that you enjoyed growing up. Thanks for answering me, knowing someone from The Netherlands gets on YouTube and enjoys what it brings to people around the World is just amazing to me.

i'm not normally a LeAnn fan, though there was a lot of her early stuff i liked and listened to but i heard this version and it made me stand up and pay attention a little bit again. when i play music before i feel like i want to go to bed and sleep, i want to play something that i can still have in my head when it hits the pillow, and just in browsing, this version of a song that i have always liked hit me and i said to myself this was a cover that sounded so good i wanted this to be that one. she did a dynamite job and she's got my vote for the sleep song of this night. see y'all...may your stars shine bright tonight....

This is not an easy song to sing right. Try it without sounding rigid. Kriss Kristofferson's talent is at the core of real country, like Hank & Don Williams, without the ultra-cliché commercial crap everyone is selling these days. LeAnn comes very close to classic.

I wanna see her SO bad in concert! She gives me the chills when she sings this! Such convictions & as tho she knows what the person is going thru who wrote this! makes me cry every time!

What a fabulous presentation from Leann Rimes! No one can compare to her phrasing and voice or presentation! I think she's better than she's ever been and so glad she made an album of country songs. However, she blew me away when she and Joss Stone did some HOT tunes together! This should tell everyone she can sing every genre of music and bow to no one in the business. Keep up the good work Leann, I've always been a fan and sorry I didn't get to meet you when I was in the music business.

Fantastic artist (one of best all time female vocalists that ever was) - and she delivers it to perfection with that gorgeous low note at 0.16 so - No - she's not lost her touch in any sense. But trouble is - song is only a notch above mediocre (and we've heard it all before almost note for note).
