I remember that, and they also had a small amount of animation in there .. The animation in that cut looked like something you might have seen at a Fillmore West concert in San Francisco. That station was "The Perfect 36" ... KICU TV, San Jose, California.

This song needs to go viral right now in the wake of daily shootings of civilians & policemen....everyone needs to hear this message!! I've been a big supporter of this song since Bill Medley released it almost 50 years ago.

Hello YOUTUBE fans ... When the Righteous Brothers (Bobby Hatfield and Bill Medley) broke up - Bill Medley started a solo career.  Barry Mann and Cynthia Weil, my generations greatest songwriting duo - wrote some GREAT songs for Bill Medley. This song, took off like a rocket.  It was played all over the world - and in Vietnam, BOTH South and North Vietnam !!!!!  -- it was a BIG hit.  The song was released in 1968 - it was a song for our Nation to really look at what was truly happening in our Country, the Family Structure, how the Military was being misused -- and how the Congress and Senate -- and THE WHITE HOUSE - weren't getting the job done. 
47 years after this song was released in Los Angeles, California in 1968 - it still holds up today.  This version Bill Medley is singing was on "The Smother's Brother's Show" in 1968 - Bill I believe had just turned 28 years old.   Roger C. (San Diego)

INCREDIBLE VOICE

What an awesome song.  Some 40 or so years ago this song was used as the sign-off for one of our local television stations.  It had a video to go along with it and it was a very inspiring and positive song.  I am so glad to have found this. 

Does anyone else remember this song and the video that went along with it?  I still want to find that and hear it again.  Beautiful song, thank you for posting it.

I think you are right about channel 36 ... but at the time I do not believe it was called KICU ... I might have been KEMO or something else.

There was channel 36 which had the Old Sourdough and Wachikanoakee(sp?) Movie Til Dawn and then channel 20 which I think had Jay Brown Spartan Dodge's All Night Movies. I spent entirely too much time watching those old movies.

I wish I could remember the call letters ... maybe it will come to me.
