Ricky Skaggs has always been one of my favorites. I only listen to old and traditional country music and this is a gem. I love how Ricky sings here. Great great song!I love bluegrass also and Jimmy Martin is my favorite. I prefer Rickys country over his bluegrass. I am a fan of both his styles.

Terry Crisp and his steel guitar MAKE THIS VERSION of this ole Stonewall tune..BEAUTIFUL..

I know for a fact Terry played on this song, because I played steel for Skaggs in the mid nineties. This was from the Coming Home to Stay Album. Lloyd only played 2 cuts on that album, Terry played the rest.

This song is just perfect: it has the wonderfully mournful sound of a traditional country song."New country" is for the birds; the old country works just fine for me.

It was not Lloyd Green. Terry Crisp played on this song. Terry told me that Skaggs wanted him to play something that sounded like Lloyd would play. I know this because I played steel for Skaggs in the mid nineties.

The steel guitar in this song makes my hair stand up just awesome 👌
