Ricky Skaggs - Talk About Sufferin' Lyrics
Talk about suffering here below
And let's keep a-followin' Jesus
Talk about suffering here below
And let's keep a-lovin' Jesus
Now don't you want to go
And leave this world of sorrow
And troubles here below
Oh, can't you hear it father?
And don't you want to go
And leave this world of sorrow
And troubles here below
Talk about suffering here below
Talk about suffering here below
And let's keep a-lovin' Jesus
Oh, can't you hear it mother?
Now don't you want to go
And leave this world of sorrow
And troubles here below
The gospel train is comin'
Now don't you want to go
And leave this world of sorrow
And troubles here below

Ricky Skaggs Talk About Sufferin' Comments
I remember this song from childhood (Doc Watson version), and I have been singing it whenever I’m sad for my entire life. I have sung it to my children for comfort at bedtime, and I will have it played at my funeral someday. This song is everything.

tbriscoe12: We have seen Ricky Skaggs many times and he always asks for total silence for this song...This is my husband's favorite Skaggs song, and I took him to see Ricky Skaggs in concert for his birthday in July, in as good a voice, as they say, as ever. : )
That place was silent...
Heard him perform this song years ago. Gave you goosebumps.
This was a real treat for me.
I saw him sing this at a concert many years ago and still remember the power and emotion of it.
Wow. I have been signing this since 1989 and I get emotional every time.
